I am new to these forums, but I am confused. Earlier in this thread someone said, "if it isn't in the scriptures, then it is demonic." The scriptures say, "For God so loved THE WORLD that he gave his only begotten Son..." John 3:16

-That verse says that God loves everyone, but he might not agree with their choices.

-Whoever said "Jesus loves Christians more" that is not true, because he loves us all infinitely. But Christians will go to Heaven, and nonchristians will go to Hell. Right? Right. (The Bible Clearly states that, many times.)

Jesus does not tell us to condemn homosexuals, but to love them because Jesus loved us first when we were sinners

Just because someone is a homosexual does not give you the right to publicly ridicule them. If you disagree with me, then show me a verse in the Bible that Jesus ridicules homosexuals (I do not support Homosexuality. It is wrong, but I am called by Jesus to love all people, and not ridicule them, but talk to them about their choices and try to bring them back to the cross and Christ.

Have you ever read the Bible?

John 3:16 says nothing about God "loving everybody". It says that He came as Jesus so those who believe on Him may have everlasting life (I note you left the second half of the verse out). Not everybody, JUST CHRISTIANS.

If you follow through verses 17 and 18, you'll find that those who do not believe are already damned. Don't believe me; look it up.

Do you think God is some sort of sick, sadistic weirdo who would create humans so He could "love" them whilst torturing them for all eternity as punishment for not loving Him? What kind of twisted monster do you worship, anyway?

God HATES sinners and sin. Therefore, instead of mercifully killing them in an instant -- as He quite easily could, He created humanity in an instant -- He forces sinners to live forever and ever, while being burned alive in the Lake of Fire that He created for that very purpose.

God doesn't say to make fun of homosexuals, no. He says to kill them. I haven't seen anyone here making fun of God-hating Hellbound sodomites, just endorsing a return to Biblical law so we may act in accordance with God's wishes in stoning abominations.

Well, when I read that, it says to me, "God loved the world [as He created it], not necessarily all is inhabitants that came crawling out of the woodwork, later."

All I can say about that is, "Blood is thicker than water." It would follow that God indeed loves True Christians™ more, as we are family. God did not save everyone in the great flood, just Noah and his good True Christian™ family. He was hoping they would repopulate the Earth with more of their own kind.

Jesus may not have known who all the homosexuals WERE in His time. It was harder to tell them apart back then from normal people, as all men wore long hair and flowing robes at that time. Had "the gays" stood out more, I'm sure there would have been a lot more said about them in the Bible.

I do think its wonderful that you've taken up the Good Book and are trying your best to understand it.
