I think if everyone could commit to being hardcore for Jesus, then maybe He might show up more often. He - or at least His proxy on earth - senior management - are always on the lookout for passionate believers to sustain the Lord's Mission or at least fetch coffee and pad the audience.
If I have seen further, it is by standing on the heads of others.

Re: On this day I'm thankful for JESUS

One of the most saddening things is seeing people who think they're praying but doing so in the wrong way, grovelling before an idol or putting their own wishes before the Will Of God.
Luke 22:41-42 [Jesus] was withdrawn from them about a stone's cast, and kneeled down, and prayed, saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.

Jesus did not want to be whipped, dragged up a hill and tortured to death. He mentioned this in His prayer but it was by far the less important criterion. Having suffered so much, I remember, how is He going to feel when a prayer arrives offered to an idol or using a form of words neglecting God's will altogether? He wants to help but if He did (respond to a prayer addressed to a 14-armed goblin) what sort of signal would that send? Maybe prayers to temple prostitutes would become fashionable (most goblin temples have those) and who knows what other abominations.

So it makes me sad, knowing how vile such wretches are in God's eyes, seeing their futile prayer attempts offered in good faith (according to their lights) yet certain to go unanswered.
