Music has been a big part of my life. It has strengthend my faith. It has also helped me share my faith with people who would normally be un-reachable. I figured I would share with you some of my favourite christian bands. I'm new here and am very exicted about the fellowship that can be shared here on these forums. Since music is a big part of my life, and a big part of the church I attend, I would share with you my favourite Christian bands. I hope you can share with me yours as I am always looking for new christian bands.

I know everyones taste in music is different, but thats what makes us unique. The majority of this list is Heavier then the rest, so I will lable them in bold if you do not like that particular type of music. The bands that have spoken to me and that have played a major part in my faith I will underline.

I hope some of these bands will also strengthen your faith as they have for me and many people in the church I attend.

Bands like Becoming the Archetype and Mortal treason sing hyms. Just look at Becoming the Archetype's song "How Great Though Art" Lyrics or Mortal Treason's song "Death is the begining" lyrics

I'm a little older than you are so of course I don't know about any of that noise that you kids call music these days, but I did read the lyrics that you linked to and I was surprised that it wasn't just a pledge of allegiance to the devil, but an actual song about Jesus.

If listening to this kind of music is helping you fellowship with other Christians like yourself then it's probably OK, but I hope you are wearing your earplugs when you go to the concerts and don't stand right in front of the speakers.

I have lots of compilation of praise and worship songs. I love the Casting Crowns, Hillsongs and Darlene Czech. They were pampering me with true Christian music.

I have lots of compilation of praise and worship songs. I love the Casting Crowns, Hillsongs and Darlene Czech. They were pampering me with true Christian music.

I have always liked heavier music... But I don't want something with a negative attitude and basically mindless screaming...

I understand where your coming from though... I know many people who take one look at some of the music... and are outright disgusted by it... Because of the lable more popular bands have set to metal...

Now, not all there songs are are like the two i linked the lyrics two... A majority of them are... The "Softer" bands i posted, andrewmoquin, would probly be interested in given the list he posted.

And the concerts are amazing btw

I actually want nothing to do with this forum aside from this thread...

This forum was brought to my attention when a member of a forum I run stumbled accross a thread in this forum concerining the game Oblivion....

Which he then proceded to post in that thread... Not thinking it thru well enough... and got banned...

I aggre with about 10% of the views being talked about on this site...

I only wanted to discuss christian music...

"Christian Rock" is an oxymoron. Rock 'n roll is the devil's music and it doesn't matter if you change the lyrics around or not the sound of distorted guitars and erratic drums are the cacophonous and Satanic. "Christian Rock" is an attempt by Satanists to lure malleable and innocent Christian teens into accepting a homosexual deathstyle.

Whatever man... I don't see anywhere in the bible where it says not too listen to music that IS praising the lord...

I think it this "Living Sacrifice" is a good example of what so-called "Christian rock" does to people. Pastor Zeke and myself did not make any comments about him, we simply reported that Christian rock is the devil's music. This little rocker than gets all spiteful and calls us pastors (who are experts with the Bible and have ministered to thousands of people) "fools", simply because we didn't give the answer he wanted.

Son, this is why I don't let anyone in my congregation listen to that devil music. They might become vexatious buffoons like yourself. I am warning you stop listening to that garbage; look at what it's making you become!
