Serious question about certain Bible passages

This is in response to an earlier post(Give me that good time sinning), specifically where someone said they miss when it was a sin for men to grow their hair out long. I received this link in an email today

    http://www.11points.com/Books/11_Things_The_Bible_Bans,_But_You_Do_Anyway

According to the first point from the book of Leviticus 19:27: "Thou shalt not round off the side growth of your hair nor harm the edges of your beard." So I take it this means that the Bible does not want men to cut their hair or shave their beards.

How accurate is this to what the Bible actually states? I really am just curious.

Thank you in advance for the help.

You'll come to realize that most 'strong believers' don't actually follow all of the bible.
They just pick out the snippets they like and ignore the rest.

Re: Serious question about certain Bible passages

According to the correct Bible (KJV 1611) the quote actually is:
      Leviticus 19:27 (King James Version)

27Ye shall not round the corners of your heads, neither shalt thou mar the corners of thy beard.

Quite a bit different when you actually read the correct quote, isn't it?
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

Yes as Brother James pointed out, it is much different when you use a correctly translated Bible! Notice it doesn't say you can't have a beard, it just says if you do, don't trim the corners. Us True Christians(tm) follow everything in the Bible 100%. We are not Salad Bar Christians who pick and choose which of God's laws to follow at their own whim.

That may be what you catlicks do. We Baptists Christians follow it verbatim with zero tolerance for the oh too convenient 'interpretation'.

And it is Correct that the King James Version of the Bible is Correct for what it was Created For. The 1611 Version it was Financed by Constantine and His Mother when they Converted to Christianity. The Number 9 of the Version tells you that this is the Last Holy Bible.
