Brother V, I thank you for your kind message, and I appreciate what you have said. I am familiar with John 3:18, and I do believe in Jesus Christ as my Savior. I do not consider myself a part of those who do not believe.

Even so, I see no point to remain here. The judgment of people who don't know me is a bit harsher than I'd expected, and there is no point for me to be here when we will never come to an agreement.

My claim to be a Christian seems to be ignored in favor of calling me all kinds of names, and while I admit that I have insulted people here, most of those insults were out of frustration that I could not get a legitimate debate. I apologize for the name-calling, though; that was rude and immature of me.

Again, I apologize for insulting the people here; it's not like me to do things like that. I will do my utmost not to insult anyone again. As I said before, if you will kindly show me the way out of here, I will be gone, and you can get back to what you were doing.

Let me correct your false assumptions. I am American and proud of it. And, no, before you ask, I am not telling you what state I live in. That's not the point. In Jesus' time, no-one was without sin, as no-one had been washed in His blood, so no-one could cast the first stone; however, ever since He died for us, He has been cleansing people of their sins, thus entitling them to throw stones. We are told that we will be judged by the same standard with which we judge others; we judge people by their sins, but as Jesus has cleansed us of our sins, we have no reason whatsoever to fear this kind of judgement, as Christ has promised us that we will pass with flying colours. The only reason to not want to be judged is if you haven't accepted Jesus' love.

Are you questioning the custom of tithing? Because let me assure you, God is very keen on that:
Leviticus 27:30 And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land, or of the fruit of the tree, is the LORD'S: it is holy unto the LORD.
...
32 And concerning the tithe of the herd, or of the flock, even of whatsoever passeth under the rod, the tenth shall be holy unto the LORD.
We are commanded to pay a tenth of our income as a tithe to the Church.

As for whether God promises His followers earthly wealth, well:
Deuteronomy 28:1 And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:
2 And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.
3 Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field.
4 Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep.
5 Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store.
6 Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out.

I think the references to blessings on our crops, our livestock, our baskets and our store make it pretty clear that God is promising us material goods, not just spiritual rewards. Praise!
