    Being Baptized

Why is it that every christian parent believe he/she should Baptize their baby?

Being a Christian Should be the "Victims" Choice, If he/she does not accept god then they should not have to be considered a christian just because he/she has gotten baptized, Without a choice.

I believe there are no Christian Children or Satanist Children etc
Because at that age the "victim" has not chosen a religion but has been forced one.

    What do you think?

    Re: Being Baptized

First off, no True Christian(tm) endorses infant baptism. That is an invention of the papist church. The Bible makes it clear that we should only baptize adults because in order to be baptized you must have repented your sins. Can babies do that? No.

Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Why would you ask a question like that on a BAPTIST forum? Do you not know anything about Baptists? We believe that baptism is for believers only, because that's what the Bible says.

We don't sprinkle "holy water" (not mentioned in the Bible) on babies, say some magic words, and pretend like it means something. It's ridiculous, but it's exactly what false Christians do.

Upon request I will cite scripture for all these facts in God's Holy Word.

✝ This is a Christian community and we worship GOD of the Holy bible, the only Living GOD. We worship Jesus Christ, Son of GOD and Savior. Anything else is absurd. ✝

I said Christian not leading to any Specifics.

I was wanting to know the answer and was asking in here to learn.

Never said that Baptists are the ones doing it,
but because Baptists don't i figure i can get a truthful answer of opinion.

Some believe that it takes the place of circumcision required in the Old Testament.

Some believe that the new born should be to allow it to join the family of God. It it more for the parents than the child. It shows that the family allowed the child to be brought into the family of God. Good parents.

The Church and the parents would deny a child the priceless grace of becoming a child of God were they not to confer Baptism shortly after birth.

          A Useless Ritual.

In the OP, you said that every Christian believes that babies should be baptized.
