    God Mockery ??

    Saw this and at first I was offended, the whimsical nature of this offense to Christendom had so startled me.

    And then I thought, what if this were to glide over Mecca and astonish the pagan demons there ??

    So, thought it best to post here and see what you think; is this vile God mockery, or an instrument of His power to be wielded against the wicked ??

      Kind of hard to tell, it looks like one of those india women, you know, the ones with the dots. I mkean, she has a beard and all.
      It could never be mistaken for Jesus, the hair is not blond, the skin is not alabaster and the eyes, not blue.
      But I think even a flying turd would freak those mooslimes out. Actually, it would freak anyone out.

          It appears to be a balloon version of Jesus in an ice cream cone. Notice the little sprinkles on the ice cream part?

              Anything that spreads the Word of Jesus in such a grand manner can't be bad. I found this on the internet about it.

              He's 110 feet tall and has hands 20 feet long. He weighs over 750lbs and is filled with 258,000 cubic feet of air. It took 13 weeks to sew him together.And he's quite simply the biggest Gadget for God known to man.

              Jesus the Hot Air Balloon is based in Tracy, California, and is the latest evangelistic balloon project of The Merritt Ministry. The biggest challenge they faced was theological, it seems: "How do you create a hot air balloon that is both authentic and reverent in its mission of creating Jesus, the Son of God?" Er, quite. The answer? "Jesus, in a majestic purple robe, trimmed in gold, rising above a base of white clouds, in all power and majesty as is presented in the book of Revelation." Right...

              The balloon, which bears the slogan "King of kings, Lord of Lords" across the back of Jesus's robe, is currently touring the United States. 1000 blessings to Renee Beihl from Colorado for alerting us to this gadget on a grand scale.

                  Zoom in on the back of the white puffy part. That appears to be one of those "molecule formations" some fancy secular book had pictures of. You know, the little barbel weights I'm supposedly made out of?

                      So, we have the DOF investigate the Merritt Ministry, and if they are up to snuff as far as King James 1611 is concerned, then the balloon is okey dokey and can, in fact, be wielded as an instrument of His Faith. And if the Merritt Ministry is a front for some demonic spoor, then we are obligated to point out their Error, and if the opporotunity arises, to blast the foul visage from the His Holy skies with a squadron of F-16s bristling with Sidewinder missles !!

                          A clever person might figure out that the balloon is just another way of saying "Jesus is full of hot air".

                              Is this the official Oral Roberts Jesus Balloon? Because Pastor Roberts saw a 900 ft Jesus before, and he was very impressed by Him.

                                  This balloon reminds me of an old story I recall in the Freehold Truth and Light newspaper from a few years back. Tragic, but I still get a giggle out of it.
