The Lost Symbol - is Dan Brown the falsest Christian on earth?

Friends, we all know Dan Brown is a satanic cultist who lives to destroy True Christianity with blasphemous "books".

Mind you, he calls himself a Christian. When a reporter asked him "Are you a Christian?", this lowlife replied:

Yes. Interestingly, if you ask three people what it means to be Christian, you will get three different answers. Some feel being baptized is sufficient. Others feel you must accept the Bible as immutable historical fact. Still others require a belief that all those who do not accept Christ as their personal savior are doomed to hell. Faith is a continuum, and we each fall on that line where we may. By attempting to rigidly classify ethereal concepts like faith, we end up debating semantics to the point where we entirely miss the obvious–that is, that we are all trying to decipher life’s big mysteries, and we’re each following our own paths of enlightenment. NO, YOU ARE NOT A CHRISTIAN, NOT BY A LONG SHOT!

A Christian is a follower of the historical Jesus as presented in the Bible. True Christians hold to the essential teachings of the Bible - all of them. The meaning of the expression “Christian faith” is not like a wax nose, which can be twisted to mean whatever the speaker wants it to mean.
Someone who, even though he claims to be a Christian, rejects orthodoxy in favor of heresy is a heretic – a person considered to be outside of the Christian faith.

Dan Brown is a heretic.

Does this look like a Christian to you?

Not a Christian.

But we already knew that.

However, in his new "book", The Lost Symbol, this idjit manages to insult us at Landover Baptist even more than with his previous twaddle.

How?

First of all: he claims that the USA was founded on Masonic Principles.



I repeat:



We all know that the injuns prestole America, but I'm pretty sure those masonsicks have NOTHING to do with the creation of the Godly USA. We are a Christian nation, and we will always be. GLORY!

But what's even worse, Brothers and Sisters, is that he quotes our Holy KJV, and then twists the Scripture in a truly vomit inducing way.

He dares to quote Psalm 84 to us. I probably don't need to quote it, but I will for clarity:


Psalm 82


1 God standeth in the congregation of the mighty; he judgeth among the gods.
2 How long will ye judge unjustly, and accept the persons of the wicked? Selah.
3 Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy.
4 Deliver the poor and needy: rid them out of the hand of the wicked.
5 They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course.
6 I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.
7 But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.
8 Arise, O God, judge the earth: for thou shalt inherit all nations.

This sinner then concludes that we don't understand the Bible at all, and that God is saying that ... that... that we are ALL GODS.

BLASPHEMY!

I therefor propose to organise a book burning session as soon as possible. Don't BUY the book, just collect it from the bookstores (that's not stealing, it's doing what Jesus would want us to do) near you.

I hope the Ladies Of Landover will provide a nice surrounding with BBQ, refreshments, and portable prayer boots.

I actually read this piece of tripe last week in an effort to study the rising tide of cults in America. Thank you for pointing out that out-of-context Psalm 82 quote! You will find many, many Bible quotes taken out of context.

Throughout the book, Dan Brown repeatedly asserts that all religions are pretty much the same, and all have the goal of empowering humans to become gods. But, to justify this position, he severely distorts Scripture to justify his needs.

For example with Psalm 82, he quotes "I have said, ye are gods" making it sound like God is telling that to us! Yet, when you read the quote in context, it's the other way around: The "I" is David, and the "ye" is gods who are below God. There are other verses he distorts such as Jesus saying "The kingdom of God is within you." or Scripture where Jesus says all things that are hidden will be revealed to you.

So by taking just a few quotes from the Bible, he transforms it into something that doesn't even look like the Bible. He casually ignores all verses where it says you can only attain Salvation through Christ alone, and any other orthodox theological teachings.

Finally, what really prodded me was his cheapshot jab at Landover Baptist Church! In the book he ridicules those who believe God's Word is only one language and those who take it literally. This is just a sly attempt at mocking us KJV-only literalists (aka LBC).

Not quite. If you ask three fluffy-bunny false Christians what it means to be Christian, you will get three (if that few) different answers. If you ask any number of genuinely saved True Christians™ what it means to be Christian, you will get only one answer, and it will agree with the Holy King James Bible. Otherwise, we'd each be following our own paths to hell.
