It's funny you mention those stories. My mind went immediately to tales of Joel Chandler Harris upon reading this thread.

My great grandmother considered this tale to be evilly encouraging homosexual miscegenation. Think about it. Brer' Fox and the tar baby engage in a hot sticky romp.
Christians are superior because we possess an understanding that unbelievers lack. It is through the Power of Jesus only the converted mind is able to understand what is going on in the world; what the Communists are really up to; what Satan's intentions are. Most unbelievers do not even believe in Satan and cannot understand his tactics.

Lord! This thread puts me of a mind to recall my favorite restaurant as a child: Little Black Sambo's made the best flapjacks in town. I wonder what ever happened to that place?

I recall my cousin Anita (when she was a child) would scream bloody murder when ever she saw a negra, EXCEPT, if they were operating the manual elevator at Oransky's Department store, or shining shoes at the train station.

Jud 1:15 To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are unGodly among them of all their unGodly deeds which they have unGodly committed, and of all their hard [speeches] which unGodly sinners have spoken against him.

I was about 10 before I saw my first black man. I thought he was made of chocolate. It's a good thing my mother stopped me before I ran up to him, I may have bit him.
PROOF: Atheists are too stupid to understand the Bible!

Proverbs 13:24(KJV): "He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes."

Galatians 4:16 Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?

No you did nothing wrong but, put this into consideration he was a young African American boy who was 2-1 brought up in a home who talked about slavery 100years ago so to you it was a complement or a good name, but to him he might not have ever heard of the book and though you were making a racial slur at him, it was no one's fault only bad communication
