As I sit in my living room in my single-wide looking at the stuffed armadillo you brought me (instead of the stuffed jackrabbit I really wanted) I've had time to reflect on what you consider to be a "catastrophe" and have arrived at a conclusion that I can only say is a "mea culpa."

During the move from Paluxy, TX to Freehold, I completely forgot about the jackrabbit at the taxidermist. I called and it was donated long ago to the Texas Bingo League as a prize since no one had claimed it.

I don't see many jackrabbits here in Freehold, but will keep the 12 gauge with me to make sure I nail the next one I see.

Picture your treasured animal standing in the middle of your dinner table, arms extended skyward with a serving platter resting across his little hands! I think I told you that my hobby as of late has been taxidermy and I could make that happen for you if you would like it. I found the antlers handy for hanging the carving set from. I tell you it certainly brightens up anybody's Thanksgiving table.
You know the Dewitts have been nothing but nice to me, I could do a similar one with a raccoon I recently acquired.I wouldn't want to spoil the surprise but I have been toying with LCD's for eyes!

Granted Brother Porter has just started out in business, but he has taken the first of many steps. It is not a scheme nor a get rich quick gimmick.
