What kind of bastardized bible are you using? I see nothing about any girl in those passages in my 1611 King James Bible. Do you dishonor and insult your wife by calling her a girl? Did you not marry a woman? Or did you rob the cradle?

Agreed. I keep my wife off the internet and in the house and church because I love her. I wouldn't want her fragile mind to be infected by the internet or the outside world. What about that do you sinners not understand?

Well, I just landed here by chance (thanks to Google), but I must say that I found this thread pretty entertaining: a nice mix of deadpan humor, satire/parody, and apparent sincerity. Thanks to all.

In an effort to reciprocate, for those with some free time I recommend reading the original Lysander Spooner's "Deist's Reply." (You can find it easily with Google; I recommend the edition at the Online Library of Liberty--that one has far fewer typos than other versions.) It's a hoot.

Indeed it was! It's amazing the lengths to which Deists will go to try to convince themselves that the God of the Bible isn't watching them.
