What questions (if any) can we ask?

In a cafe I overhead a conversation between two Christians (Russian orthodox emigrants, they turned out to be). One of them asked, 'Why did the Lord allow two she-bears tear apart 42 kids'?
Well, I listened to them debate this passage... Then I asked the dudes, 'how come a Christian man asks this type of question'?
And one of the dudes asked me why not, and another said that they try to understand the Word of God.
So, dear Landovarians, please help. Does God want us to ask anything we wanna ask?

    ---
    Thank you in advance

God encourages you to ask questions about the Bible. That is the only way that you can learn the answers that are in the Bible.

    Any questions?

Because they mocked the prophet Elisha for being bald. Serves the little brats right.

First off, Russian orthodox "emigrants" are really just Armenian mafia.
If you overheard their conversation it was their code words for setting up a "hit" .

She-bears probably means hooker assassins , and tearing apart 42 kids means their rival gang members.

You better lay low if they even think you overheard them.
If you ask them 'questions', you are gonna sleep with the caviar.

{PS; Everybody knows that those Biblical punk 42 brats came from that crap hole of ancient Bethel.
          That place was nothing more than a golden calf worshiping trailer park of antiquity . KJV 1611-- 1 Kings 12:26-30 & Amos 5:5 ... the whole town was just asking to get wasted. }
Galations 5:6 (KJV 1611) For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.

Re: What questions (if any) can we ask?

Son, if you actually read the bBible, you would have no questions. God answered every potential question , foresaw every scenario. Read you KJV, the answers are as obvious as the nose on your face.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

Re: What questions (if any) can we ask?

The whole story of Elisha and the bears is an atheist lie, much like the one you told about overhearing a conversation between Russian immigrants. Разве ты понимаешь по-русски? I thought not.

In the Bible, "children" means any young men. These words described Isaac at his sacrifice in Genesis 22:12, when he was easily in his early twenties. It described Joseph in Genesis 37:2 when he was seventeen years old. In fact, the same word described army men in 1 Kings 20:14-15.

Elisha was God's prophet, and had just performed a miracle restoring the water supply. Then he was surrounded by a gang of at least 42 young pagan men. In Leviticus 26:21-22, God warned anyone that was hostile to Him, infliction would be done to them 7 times more and wild animals would take their children. So that would imply that those young adults weren’t simply just teasing as you think they were but were meaning hostility towards God!

We see from 1 Kings 19 that his predecessor, Elijah was weary, scared for his life, and so hopeless that he wanted to die. Surely they were just as hostile to Elisha, his successor. Remember how the prophets were being treated. Prophets didn’t have an easy job as some of them were being killed off, stoned, sawed in half ( Hebrews 11: 35-40).

These "children" were a gang of terrorist youth, not a group of innocent school boys! Remember, the 9/11 terrorists were not old men; these Muslims practically put suicide bombs in their children's diapers.

The Elisha story is proof that God protects the righteous and kills terrorists.

Now, does that answer your question?
"Come Unto Me. Put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath." (Matthew 19:14, Job 1:11).

Re: What questions (if any) can we ask?

Narrowpathy, I'd like to address your original question regarding what sorts of questions a Christian man should ask. For the benefit of visitors -- who often disregard what the members here say, claiming we are some sort of "extreme cult" -- I will quote a separate, authoritative Christian website.

                  http://www.christiananswers.net/q-eden/edn-t023.html addresses this very subject.

We need also to recognize that our very minds were created by God. We can only use these minds to the extent that He allows, and it is, therefore, utterly presumptuous for us to use them to question Him and His motives.
“Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?” (Genesis 18:25).

“Shall the thing formed say to Him that formed it, why hast Thou made me thus?” (Romans 9:20).

We ourselves do not establish the standards of what is right. Only the Creator of all reality can do that. We need to settle it, in our minds and hearts, whether we understand it or not, that whatever God does is, by definition, right.
I'm thinking that sums it up pretty well. We, as humans, may have the ability but certainly do not have the "right" to question anything God does, says, wishes, or wills. Our subjective human "morals" and "conscience" are not relevant.

Allow me to provide an example. A woman leaves her apartment in a high-rise building alone, to go down to the laundry room and wash her husband's clothes. While in the laundry room, wearing baggy jeans, flip-flops, and a sweatshirt, she is robbed of her laundry money and then raped at knifepoint by a gangbanger who found his way into the building through an open door in the parking garage.

An atheist might say, "The rapist held a knife to her throat and said he would kill her if she screamed, so she stayed quiet. He should be punished and she should be set free. And the rapist should have to pay for her abortion pill, too!"

A Muslim might think differently. He might say, "The woman was wandering the building outside her apartment unescorted and not wearing a veil, like a harlot. She was showing ankle, neck, and long, seductive hair. She excited lusts in the man, which he could not resist. She should be stoned to death for her sluttery, and he set free!"

See? Two people who ignore God's Word in favor of their own "conscience" and human "morality". Both think they are right. Both are wrong, because God is the sole arbiter of right and wrong. What does God say?

God says that a woman raped in the city, if she is already betrothed to a man, must be put to death along with her rapist because she failed to cry out for help.

That, my friend, is what is right. Why? Because God said so, that's why!

I hope this helps in your walk with Jesus.
