God sent me a warning angel

I haven't logged into these forums in a while as I've been recovering from a car accident but I wanted to share the amazing story with y'all.

I had been struggling a bit with my conversion from atheism to Baptist and I admit I've had thoughts that were not pure. One of these instances happened while on the way home from work. I was sitting at a red light and was thinking of a conversation I had with a former atheist friend and the thought entered my mind that maybe he was right.

At that instant I heard a sound behind me, looked up and saw two headlights coming at me at a very high rate of speed. A drunk lady in an old Camry slammed into me doing about 50mph and totaled my 3 month old truck.

I realized right after that this was a message from God himself! At the exact moment of my blasphemous thought He sent me a warning that I was straying from His path in the form of a drunken angel. After taking a few moments to shake out the cobwebs and gather my bearings my anger turned to joy and I went to hug this angel from God but I couldn't open her door, I waved at her and blew her a kiss but she didn't seem to notice. At that point the police arrived and I never had a chance to speak to her, she was rushed away in an ambulance although I know God took good care of her.

The thought has entered my mind that perhaps God could have sent me a more subtle, less violent reminder of his disappointment in me but a 3000lb car hitting me at 50 mph sure did get my attention, I know now he means business and I'm not to toy with him.

He showed me His love by reminding me of my sins and He spared my life and I'm forever grateful. I'm praying everyday that He'll heal my back, it hasn't happened yet, but there must be a reason, something I've done wrong. It's a test from him and I intend to pass it with flying colors!

As for the drunken angel, she was unfortunately way under insured for the damage she did, five vehicles were involved and she did way more damage than she was insured for but this is obviously a test too. This was her 2nd DWI and I know in my heart her first one helped another struggling Christian come closer to Christ too, bless her heart. I know God sent her after me this time and I feel guilt that my truck damaged other, innocent peoples vehicles. I should have paid more attention to where I had stopped at the light, if I had done that perhaps I wouldn't have damaged the truck in front of me and he wouldn't have hit the car in front of him. My judgement in this situation was poor and I pray for forgiveness.

All in all though I am in great spirits though, it hurts to walk but it's uplifting to know God loves me and He showed it. God sometimes works in mysterious ways but not this time, His message was loud and painfully clear. He is my guiding light and I will never stray again!

A great warning for all those God-mockers we get on here who claim they're going to pull a death bed conversion.

They're not going to have time to convert in a situation like this!

Thank you for the wonderful testimony!

      Dear Brother,

That was equally a message from God about your need to tithe. Please contact me immediately, credit card in hand, so God doesn't feel the need to send more angels your way.

So you don't consider it a miracle that Mr. McAnus heard the woman coming up behind him, and yet she hit his truck head-on?

If that's not a miracle, I don't know what is!

I was thinking the same thing. I think the message was that he needs to stop buying stuff from Japland. He hit them with Earthquake, tsunami, and nuclear disaster all at once. Just owning something Jap-made is enough to tempt Him at this point.

That's what prayer is for. The Lord will take care of me, I have faith.

As for me buying a Toyota, my truck was built in Texas by American workers. Show me a Chevy, Ford, GMC, etc... and I can find thousands of components on it that were made outside of America. And some "American" cars are actually assembled in plants in Canada so I don't feel so bad about my purchase.

Although now that I think about it, she was driving a Toyota Camry. She sideswiped a Toyota Tundra, slammed into my Toyota Tacoma and made me ram another Toyota Tacoma in front of me. That's FOUR Toyotas in one wreck! Another sign from God! Thank you for opening my eyes, this message was previously hidden from me but I see now. I will go today and trade my Toyota in as soon as they open.

The Tacoma in front of me was pushed into a Chevy Impala though, so I think I'll avoid buying a Chevy as this is clearly a sign from Him too.

I'm happy with my Ford F350.

I'd be careful about badmouthing Chev's on here. The pastors seem to favor them.

Amen! Chevys and Fords have something in common: born in the US of A. Amen to that!

This is like the time I got shot by an NRA member for advocating gun control laws! Praise Him!

I was protesting the NRA when God sent me a message in the form of bullets: GUN CONTROL IS WRONG! As I left the protest with my picket signs under my arm, a man jumped out of an alleyway and shot me twice in the abdomen and chest. God clearly sent this man to awaken me and turn me from my evil ways.

As I lied in my Trauma ICU bed barely clinging to life, I detested myself for engaging in such evil activities (when I wasn't in a medically-induced coma). It took me a month to get out of that hospital, but now I am a proud, NRA-card-carrying pro-gun man! Praise the Lord!

                            Uh... huh.

Friend, how many more "angels" does God have to send to kill you before you get right with him?

How do you expect to get back to work if you don't tithe? It is an act of faith.

                              Will you rob God?

                              Malachi 3:8

8¶Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In ctithes and offerings.

verse 9 may explain a bit of your current challenge

9Ye are acursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation.

But brother there is good news in the following verses

First you can prove God through your tithing, put those atheists in their place with your offerings!

10Bring ye all the atithes into the storehouse, that there may be bmeat in mine house, and cprove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not dopen you the ewindows of heaven, and pour you out a fblessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

Prove him with your offering and he will bless you that there shall not be room enough to receive it!

And after that it's just blessings blessings and more blessings

11And I will arebuke the bdevourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the Lord of hosts.

12And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the Lord of hosts.

All nations shall call YOU blessed. I suggest you hurry up brother. Only one way to get off that unemployment/welfare/TANF check you have been collecting. Tithe and tithe hard!
