How old are you, pal? You aren't one of those kids who ride the short bus, are you?
Now, that we established that fun is not a sin, please answer my question whether it is much fun to be a Christian, or what makes being a Christian such fun.

I'm not going to make out with a tree, but I am going to scream global warming is real. Because it is. If you don't think the earth is warming, you lack knowledge in that area. I can point you in the right direction if you need that knowledge.

And no, I repeat no, God is NOT causing global warming as a means to punish men for their sin. It's called a natural occurence, in the same way a natural disaster is called "natural".

Nice way to insult me. Some Christian you are. For your information, I'm 16, nearly 17. And I homeschool.

But there's more to studying the weather than looking up at the sky and saying it's going to rain. Ever heard of computer models? Oh, and maybe doppler radar? And maybe La Niña or El Niño? Yeah, that's right. I use things like that to study the weather. There is FAR more to looking up at the sky.

I messed up on my last post at this specific part:

There is FAR more to looking up at the sky.

You guys should know what I meant, though. I make typos a lot.

I'm sorry son, but this forum is for grownups only. Please spend some time studying your Bible and come back when you turn 18.

What could be more fun than praising Jesus, singing hymns, reading the Bible, rebuking sinners, training up children, and potluck dinners after church? I'm having a blast! SHOUT GLORY!

Global Warming=End times. It's pretty simple if you ask your mom to crack open the last book of the bible and read it to you.

If the Lord leads you to it, he will get you through it.

God dictated a good portion of it personally, and he inspired the rest. I wouldn't follow a book that a "bunch of people" wrote, and I wouldn't care when it was published. But God's Word is both glorious and eternal.

I will admit, the firkins are a fringe benefit for believers.

OK, I'm willing to accept your challenge and debate you on that nonsense, but I need to educate myself first. Please give me the citations for the five best scientific papers on global warming, and I'll read them and come back to you with my questions. Or are you more of a "newspaper and website and Al Gore movie scientist" who pontificates about highly technical subjects like climate simulation models without really understanding them? Please tell me you aren't one of those.

And no, I repeat no, God is NOT causing global warming as a means to punish men for their sin. It's called a natural occurence, in the same way a natural disaster is called "natural".
Well, at least you agree that it isn't a man-made problem. That's a good start. Of course, "natural disaster" and "disaster commanded by God" are the same thing. Think about it--how can there be a hurricane if God doesn't want one?

That's why we at Landover oppose all efforts to rebuild New Orleans or assist the now homeless sinners who used to live in that Sodom and Gomorrah. God took out their city for a reason, and that reason was sin. It took a bold and God-fearing President like the great George W. Bush to stand up to the liberal media and say (in so many words), "No, this was God's plan, so we will not help the 'victims' in New Orleans."

The LORD is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked: the LORD hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet. He rebuketh the sea, and maketh it dry, and drieth up all the rivers: Bashan languisheth, and Carmel, and the flower of Lebanon languisheth. The mountains quake at him, and the hills melt, and the earth is burned at his presence, yea, the world, and all that dwell therein. Who can stand before his indignation? and who can abide in the fierceness of his anger? his fury is poured out like fire, and the rocks are thrown down by him. Nahum 1:3-6

Now there's a great scientist. Nahum was the Einstein of his generation (i.e., the smartest Jew around), without all the athiestic garbage that people try to pin on poor Albert.

Pour out thy fury upon the heathen that know thee not, and upon the families that call not on thy name.... Jeremiah 10:25

I don't know why people constantly use this term "waste". If one is looking for God, searching for him in good faces, old wise faces, enraged faces. In the antics of a kitten madly dashing about sideways trying to scare the larger cat. A beautiful silvery sky with dark clouds on a distant horizon... pregnant with impending rain. Watching the purple heather sway like the tides...The cry of a baby, lovers absorbed in whispers. God's handiwork surrounds us and if you can appreciate any of these things you are not wasting your time. As a matter of fact if you appreciate any of these, you may have already begun to understand salvation.
Faith cannot be destroyed by mere words...
I wonder why you "Waste" your time worrying about it
