Trust Jesus? Show it by taking off that seatbelt.

Brothers and sisters in Christ, long have we been lied to by the bleeding heart liberals, the same ones who tell us we must wear seatbelts, the same ones who have pushed their heathen-made oil-hating hybrids onto us, and ultimately who have criminalized the attempts by True Christians to show their faith in Christ.

For over 60 years since the invention of the automobile have we been driving without seatbelts (an extra 20 for airbags), and never were there any major problems. You know, back in the good old days, when wives shut their traps as they were supposed to, when children were corrected the Christian way, when all attended church, and when the Negros were in their place. Verily the LORD had blessed our country's motorists in those days.

Christ has made clear his love and protection for his followers:
    Psalm 91:4
He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

    Proverbs 3:5-6
    Trust
in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
    Deuteronomy 5:33
Ye shall walk in all the ways which the LORD your God hath commanded you, that ye may live, and that it may be well with you, and that ye may prolong your days in the land which ye shall possess.
    Genesis 50:20
But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.
All we have to do is clear our minds, conquer our fears of going without a seatbelt, and begin to take the step towards showing Christ: "WE TRUST YOU LORD!!!".

Don't believe me? Ask those who were blessed themselves:
This is a video that will pull at your heart strings. When this girl got into a horrible car accident, she should've died. But a miracle of Jesus saved her life. Just wait til you see what was at the scene of the accident.

It is true, some die with their seat belts off, but you know what? Many die with theirs on as well. The only difference is that God loves you more without it. For that, you earn a place in Heaven, come the GLORY:

    Job 16:19
Also now, behold, my witness is in heaven, and my record is on high.
Live or die, you're still going to Heaven, so why not multiply your eternal reward by placing your faith in Christ?

    YIC, Johnathan.

Here in California you can get a ticket for driving without a seatbelt. Say, if I was to volunteer to be a test case, do you think Landover Legal could represent me if I got such a ticket?

It would be a fine thing to establish a legal precedent that Christians should be allowed an exemption from the law for religious reasons.

Every week end I pick up my young, clean limbed, eager young Nephew from my ex wife's sister in law so that he can spend time with me (learning the ins and outs of True Christianity™) and never once have I bothered looking to his safety in the car.

He happily sits in the back leaning between the two front seats so he can get a good look at God's wonderful creation.

Never once has he died of blunt head trauma from a car crash.

Proof, if proof be need be that God looks after his own. The only reason I wear mine is because it is the law

It violates our religious freedom and makes us persecuted for showing our trust in Christ. We don't need obummer and his cronies to treat us like children; we can make our own decisions.

As for your fine suggestion, I believe it is the time to open a legal fund for those of us who are persecuted in our convictions.

Do not forget, however, that Christ loves Martyrs even more.

Being a God fearing True Christian™ wearing a seat belt is akin to slapping the face of Jesus. I have put all my faith in Him. So some queer nylon strap is not going to 'Save®' me but might turn me into a homersexual. I have no interest in learning about the trappings of the gay-wise.

Not one living member of my family has ever needed a seat belt for anything other than holding a case of beer from sliding about and getting shaken up.
I think they are a waste of valuable resources. The material could be better used for tie down straps.
I miss the old style buckles that doubled as bottle openers.

Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.

The unsaved say that we shouldn't trust our luck, but luck is just a pagan misinterpretation of God's will:

Proverbs 16:33: The lot is cast into the lap; but the whole disposing thereof [is] of the LORD.

By the way friend, you have the passage wrong (brits, so typical). In the KJV it is:

As far as I'm concerned, the closer our cars become like Sherman Tanks, the less faith we are placing in Jesus.

I'd feel safe driving my car while sitting on the hood if they made cars that way.

When driving, I regularly close my eyes, take my hands off the wheel, and pray for Jesus to let His will be done on Earth, as It is in Heaven. The fact that I am still here typing this is yet more incontrovertible evidence of Christ's hand in our lives.

Mr. Etheldreda does the driving for the Etheldreda family, of course. Due to his spiritual headship and complete trust in the LORD, we have been blessed with nothing but safe travels. The one time we were hit by an atheist driver and little Michael broke his collar bone and left arm was a blessing in disguise. Being the youngster that he was, he thought he could hide his sin from us and Jesus. Knowing the LORD sees all, Mr. Etheldreda refused to bring anyone to the hospital until all confessions were heard. That's how we knew little Mikey had discovered self-gratification of the most base and depraved kind. He has, of course, been corrected and his bones healed with only a slightly limited range of motion to remind him of his loving Heavenly Father who knows and sees everything we think and want and do.

Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! They simply need to discover Jesus, brother. The longer they let Satan fill their head with doubt about their trust in Christ, the longer they remain on the path to Hell, and need to wear that ungodly contraption.
