Senator Lindsey Graham, South Carolina, died suddenly at age 71. He was a unfailing supporter of President Trump and played golf with him recently at Mar a Lago. While there is much good to be said about Senator Graham, he was never able to remove a dark cloud of sin that hovered over him. It was homerism.
He never fully condemned homerism but never married or seemed to stamp out rumors that surrounded him. He played dinosaurs? Never heard of him but his biog. details raised numerous red flags: protestor against government policy Jude 1:8? Anti-mining Genesis 1:26? Resorting to physicians II Chronicles 16:12? But more insidious is this "dinosaur" stuff. It's one thing giving the last word to minerals on whether they should be mined—pitchblende, realgar, gold and probably oil & coal which are essential for primitive societies unable to afford nuclear reactors—but reinforcing the narrative that hundreds of millions of years ago great beasts evolved that never made it to Noah's ark (because they'd gone extinct before humans evolved) has knock-on effects regarding Jesus, whose ministry was futile and ridiculous in this narrative if He ever existed at all.
Once the fundamental fact of creation is challenged, it's a short step to idolatry—such as of the environment or dolphins or something—and from there to perdition forever. As I say, I have no information on this Neill and won't comment further.Attached FilesComment
