Many of you are aware that although the Lord has not yet blessed me with a wife or children, I do take a very active interest in my community's youth. Therefore, I read with great interest the following handy guide for recognizing the early warning symptoms of homosexuality:
Guidelines to Identify Gay and Lesbian Symptoms
Symptoms of gays:
Have a muscular body and like to show their body by wearing V-neck and sleeveless clothes;
Prefer tight and light-coloured clothes;
Attracted to men; and
Like to bring big handbags, similar to those used by women, when hanging out.
Symptoms of lesbians:
Attracted to women;
Besides their female companions, they will distance themselves from other women;
Like to hang out, have meals and sleep in the company of women; and
Have no affection for men.
I must confess I own over 300 V-neck sweaters, so I will caution you that any one of these symptoms by itself should not necessarily be cause for alarm.
Please do keep this list in mind, however, as it takes eternal vigilance to protect your children from their own fallen nature. Remember what 1 Peter 5:8 has to say on the subject:
I recommend periodically questioning your children about their activities. It doesn't have to be a big deal, but maybe just once a week, pull each child aside and privately ask them whether they've been having sexual feelings for any of their siblings or friends, whether they've touched any of their friends' bodies in private places, that sort of thing.
If your children become accustomed to being asked about this on a weekly basis, they will get the message that you are "on the case," involved in their lives, and not likely to let any "funny business" go undetected or unpunished!
