Re: "IF I DID IT" By OJ Simpson!

Praise Jesus! God has moved that old Aussie criminal Rupert Murdoch's stone heart to cancel this dispicable program. Let us hope that He follows up with the unceremonious exit of the nigra O.J. from this world and sends him hurtling into the deepest recesses of hell, where he will spend eternity being butchered by demons in unspeakable ways. Praise Jesus!
    Who Will Jesus Damn?

Re: "IF I DID IT" By OJ Simpson!

      Happy news indeed.

What is needed is a pre-hell.
We cannot see or feel or giggle very well
      about the abstract...the "what if-and-when"
      Mr. Simpkins goes to Hell.

What is needed is a pre-hell.

Could Pastor Ezekiel work up a game plan?

Let's say (rhetorically speaking), we could hornswaggle Mr. Simpkins up to Freehold
on fake pretext, say, of a well-paid speaking engagement?

Let's say we had him there. And let's say Pastor Ezekiel were to take him
      "under advisement" (begining with shackles, of course);

      what next?

Please be creative. Hell hath no fury superior to our own.

NEW YORK, Nov. 20 (UPI) -- After getting complaints from over two million members of the nation's favorite church, Landover Baptist, News Corp. said it had canceled publication of O.J. Simpson's book and planned special on Fox about the killing of his ex-wife.

Fox Chairman Rupert Murdoch said the project was "ill-considered" and he apologized for "any pain this has caused the families of Ron Goldman and Nicole Brown-Simpson."

Simpson had been planning to release a book entitled, "If I Did It, Here's How It Happened," about the killings of his ex-wife and her friend, for which Simpson was acquitted in a criminal trial. Many characterized the book and planned television special as a confession.

New Corp. is the parent company of both the television network and the book's publisher.

Murdoch's announcement came as Fox affiliates balked at airing the special.

Pappas Broadcasting and Lin Broadcasting, which together own nine Fox affiliates, announced during the weekend they would not air the special, Broadcasting & Cable reported.

The Washington Post reported that the Pappas stations said they did not want to help Simpson profit from the project.

North Dakota's Prime Cities Broadcasting was the first to refuse to air the interview on advice from Pastor Deacon Fred and Pastor Al Pistle.
HO! I'd thought it was a joke, that story--(knowing how mirthful you are at times, Pastor Pistle).

        NO! It's true.
The Miami Herald (Simkins lives here) has a big story about this too.

...Simpson, who lives in Kendall, had little to say Monday. ''He's totally indifferent about the fact that it's been canceled,'' Simpson attorney Yale Galanter told The Associated Press.

The families of the victims were less reticent.

''I think News Corp. finally stepped up, admitted they made a mistake and did the right thing,'' said Jonathan Polak, attorney for the Goldmans. ``This is everything we have been asking News Corp. to do for the past two weeks. We want to thank the American people for helping make this happen.'

Pastor Pistle and Pastor Deacon Fred, you did provoke a miracle.
Praise for you both shall wring the very air
        from OJs lungs.

        Even squirrels seem happier;
        and the sun shines brighter
        and the birds sing sweeter
for this all that owes to you
        two very good men!

Saddam Follows OJ Example, Writes Book 'If I Had WMDs'.

Saddam Hussein, a long-term admirer of OJ Simpson's life story, has most recently followed his icon's example, releasing a shocking new book titled If I Had Weapons Of Mass Destruction, in which he outlines how his illegal weapons would have been hidden - if he had them. The controversy surrounding Saddam Hussein's removal from power surfaced again this week when, just in time for November television sweeps, former Iraqi leader revealed that he will participate in a two-part Fox television special and release a book that will give a "bone-chilling account" of how he could have moved the WMDs to Syria using advisors from the Russian intelligence.

I'm afraid it's just a joke - the Saddam story that is, not the Simpson story.

I find it hard to praise the "man" who initially planned -- his great idea -- to both publish the book and air the sweeps week ratings grab and then cancelled them both when he learned that Americans DO have a modicum of taste left and that his companies would be damaged.

God didn't move him at all, Mammon did. He realized it wouldn't make him money because he'd have no advertisers.

There is another who can do something!

                George W. Bush

If his influence has taken what was, at the start, a quasi-cat-a-lick homer comunist like Tommy Blair into Iraq and into making a MAJOR IMPROVEMENT in UK's Common Law.

He can do it in the glorious U.S.A.

Under English common law, there is an absolute prohibition on a second trial after an acquittal. This was initially brought in to protect those who were subject to both canon law and temporal law.

This strict common law double jeopardy rule in England was first qualified by the Criminal Procedure and Investigations Act 1996 [2], under which the prosecution can appeal an acquittal on grounds that witnesses or the jury were intimidated. However, the Act has never been used to seek a retrial.[3]

The MacPherson Report following the murder of Stephen Lawrence suggested that double jeopardy should be abrogated where "fresh and viable" new evidence came to light, and the Law Commission recommended in 2001 that it should be possible to subject an acquitted murder suspect to a second trial. The Parliament of the United Kingdom implemented these recommendations by passing the Criminal Justice Act 2003 [4], introduced by then Home Secretary David Blunkett. Under the 2003 Act, retrials are now allowed if there is "new" and "compelling" evidence for crimes, including murder, but also manslaughter, kidnapping, rape, armed robbery, and serious drugs crimes. All cases must be approved by the Director of Public Prosecutions, and the Court Of Appeal must agree to quash the original acquittal.[5]

The double jeopardy provisions of the 2003 Act came into force in April 2005.[6] On 11 September 2006, William Dunlop became the first person to be convicted of murder after previously being acquitted. Twice he was tried for the murder of Julie Hogg in Billingham in 1989, but two juries failed to reach a verdict and he was formally acquitted in 1991. Some years later, he confessed to the crime, and was convicted of perjury. The case was re-investigated in early 2005, when the new law came into effect, and his case was referred to the Court of Appeal in November 2005 for permission for a new trial.[7] [8] [9]

William Dunlop was re-tried and lodged a guilty plea, for the murder of Julie Hogg and sentenced to life imprisonment, with a recommendation he serve no less than 17 years.[10].

PRAISE THE LORD FOR THIS NEW HOPE!
