Re: The Methodist Church - Is It Right For Me?
I am not your friend yet, but according to
Romans 12:3
3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
If your faith is wavering, it is likely that you have not given it enough critical thought. As I understand it according to
Luke 6:38
38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.
You must open yourself to the repudiation of those whom you have repudiated, love of those you have loved, and charity of those with whom you have been charitable.
Those that continue to call themselves your friends take a hard line with The Bible, their faith is strong, and so must yours be to accept their love.
