    God's Country (a cheerful ditty)

    Antarctic ice is upside down.
    Floods in Ecuador run sideways.
    Thank God for North America;
    Such horizontal horizons.

    Excellent! One of those Japanese poems: seven tofu followed by a slit to the belly!

      Glad you like it, sir

      Am working on a metaphorical ode to you, our leader.
      It will be done in a neat way.

      I used to drive a Model T Ford--fine car, fine car!

      I will make you a leader of men's actions--in a Ford Runabout.

      Just you see! I'm going to name you (for our poem)

      Jim Jams

        It is done.

        Although the poem's premise derived from old "Jim Jams and his runabout",

        He showed me the better way,
