Embittered Loners Looking for Meaning in the Lives

It's no coincidence that the Christian Church and the Republican Party have both had great success with a crucial bloc of swing voters-- embittered loner zealots feeling angry and searching for some sort of meaning in their lives (apart from the voices in their heads). Instead, this crucial voting bloc was reached by BOTH the Christian Church and the Republican Party through Sunday morning services to shut-ins on Christian Broadcasting, and a talk radio army of conservatives each trying to raise the ante on patriotism.

It's been a winning combination, capturing several crucial elections and bringing down the Murrah Federal Building, but lately it has lost its lustre. This Obama character is dangerous. None of the typical rhetoric on talk radio is getting any traction, even when the dial is turned up to "11."

Why? What can the Republican Party do to prove that THIS time we're really serious about fiscal responsibility, personal moral character, faith, looking out for the taxpayers, etc., etc., blah, blah, blah? Why don't they just believe us? Sure, baby, we didn't do a good job for the past decade, but I swear to you, cross my heart, this time it will be different.

And voters--- We're sorry for the way we treated you, but you practically made us do it! You've got to believe us that it will never happen again.... look me in the eyes, baby, er, voters.... can't you see how serious we are? Now are you going to put us back in office? Please? Pretty please? Will you let me see that simile that you gave us when you swept us into control of congress back in 1994? Can I see that smile that you gave us when Ronald Reagan whispered, "It's morning in, America, baby...." in you ear? There it is, baby. This time will be different. Trust me.

Why Why Why does "Monty" minimize the Republican impacts of Bush I, the crypto-Republican Clinton, and our only sainted President, Saint Ronald Reagan? Does "Monty" think that our beloved Saint Reagan was anything but a gift from Providence?

I don't know what exactly "Monty" thinks, but the contents of his latest post cause me to conclude that "Monty" negates the supreme accomplishments of Republican Presidents from Reagan through to the crypto Clinton and that "Monty" has the presumption to assert that American Godliness began with Dubya!! A heresy, which we True Christians™ cannot tolerate to hear.

So, don your sackcloths and throw ashes upon the wind. Brother Monty needs our prayers, our support, and possibly our banishment, unless he amends his thinking.

I know this. Yes, I've been unemployed for over a year now ... but I know that by supporting our Godly Super Rich so they can keep their bailouts, I will eventually get a job through my faith and humbleness. Trickle down economics is the only way to go.

However, it's tough for me to contain my anger against the frigging nigra dumbass who has ruined my life in a matter of six weeks!!! My chuch has kicked me out on the streets because of you. I am praying to Jesus that you listen to Him about Gods Own Party. How can the Republicans be held accountable for a recessions that both started during the Clinton Administration. There is the voluntary war in Iraq, don't you want the Iraqi's to be FREE(r) under the benevolent guidance of former Bush administration members? And what do think, the Republican party is inhuman? That they would stand by and let you suffer under a 39% tax burden.

Monty, the GOP needs and lest 36 more years to fix this countries problems after what Carter did to it.

I appreciate your concern, Brother Lee, but I am not having a crisis of confidence in The Republican Party to do the right thing by worthy Americans. I am having a crisis of confidence in the ability of the majority of Americans to do the right thing by America and its most worthy citizens by seeing though the drive-by media's smokescreen disguising LIEberals, and Barack Obama in particular, as a viable political choice and not a disasterous Muslim/Socialist takeover of America in pursuit of a One World Government!

Each and every morning when I turn on Fox News after my wife Delores serves me breakfast in bed, I splatter the walls of the bedroom with projectile vomit when I hear the latest move toward a Socialist/Muslim Negrocracy that Obummer is inching us toward every day! At least three hours of Delores' day are spend picking the dried chunks of breakfast off the wall, time that could be spent studying the Bible or campaigning for Creationism Intelligent Design to be taught in our local school system. I think this is part of the ingenious Left Wing media plot to aid Obummer in the creation of a systematic brainwashing of our young people-- to make sure that wives spend their days cleaning up dried vomit and stomach acid splattered on the walls of America!

Brother Monty, I feel your pain. I can barely contain my rage every time I turn on the TV and see "President" Osambo pretending to be the leader of the USA. Everyone knows that ACORN (the American branch of Al Qaeda) stole the election, but what can we do about it? It's no wonder that right-thinking Americans are in such a funk. Even manly Glen Beck was recently on TV crying like a sissy homo.

This is no time to show weakness - we must remain strong. The proper response to our temporary setbacks is to stockpile weapons, ammo, Ann Coulter books and Chuck Norris videos. If you don't have enough cash on hand to pay for these necessities, consider taking out another home equity loan, or selling your daughter to traffickers. There are other innovative ways to raise cash in these hard times - our church here in Wacko, Texas, recently earned money by extorting abortion clinics (ie accepting cash payments to keep our bullhorn brigate away). We've also started allowing gamblers, erh worshippers, at our church bingo parlor to pay with a credit card or sign over the title to their car.

Last but not least, tune your radio to Rush Limbaugh and await further instructions.

I to share you pain and fear for this great country of ours. But clearly we are like the Israelite in The Bible; to proud and stiff necked so Christ withdrew His protection covering and let this socialist usurper in the Whitehouse. Obama is a scouring of the Lord. I mean just look, from day one in the Whitehouse there have been mass unemployment, the stock market tanked, the banking system is near collapse, were are bogged down in two wars and we are international pariahs.
