So you think Ronald Reagan was not a Christian? I have a feeling many of our fellow posters will disagree with you on that point.

You need to get over your paregoric induced anodynes and verbal bromides, not to mention that revolting avatar. Jesus did not "love" everyone and neither did Ronald Reagan. Ronald Reagan regularly denounced Godless communists and pronounced them the "evil empire".

But President Reagan isn't judging the communists themselves, he's judging their ACTIONS! Hate the sin, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the sinner!

          And Jesus does love everyone!

1 John 4: 7-10My beloved friends, let us continue to love each other since love comes from God. Everyone who loves is born of God and experiences a relationship with God. The person who refuses to love doesn't know the first thing about God, because God is love—so you can't know him if you don't love. This is how God showed his love for us: God sent his only Son into the world so we might live through him. This is the kind of love we are talking about—not that we once upon a time loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to clear away our sins and the damage they've done to our relationship with God.

8He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.

9In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. 10Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
What the Bible is saying here is that God loved the world to give them Jesus Christ as a Savior. However, it says nothing to the effect that God loves everyone EVEN IF they reject Christ as their Savior. Through Christ, and Christ alone, we can have eternal life. This is pretty much an echo of John 3:16.

But see, you think that anybody can go to heaven, no matter how much they sin (and not ask for forgiveness) or no matter what religion they belong to. The Scripture here does not say anything like that. Again, this is confirmation that Christ is the way to God.

It says God loved us to give us Christ. It doesn't say anything about Muhammed, Buddha, or Michael Jackson.

Yes, God is love, but not 100% like you hippies believe. Of course God is not pure malevolence, no one here says that because the Bible makes it clear that God is the source of light and darkness, as given to us by Isaiah.

                No, it doesn't.

Jesus DID NOT die for everyone

He died for those that BELIEVE.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, THAT WHOSOEVER BELIEVETH IN HIM SHOULD NOT PERISH, but have everlasting life.
                John 3:16
Everyone doesn't believe in Jesus, thus they will perish.

No, God loves everyone in the world.

1 John 4: 13-16This is how we know we're living steadily and deeply in him, and he in us: He's given us life from his life, from his very own Spirit. Also, we've seen for ourselves and continue to state openly that the Father sent his Son as Savior of the world. Everyone who confesses that Jesus is God's Son participates continuously in an intimate relationship with God. We know it so well, we've embraced it heart and soul, this love that comes from God.

16And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.

He that dwelleth is love dwelleth in God. God so loved THE WORLD, therefore the whole world dwelleth in God.

Amen, brother. These beliefs that Jesus loves everyone and that anyone can get into heaven comes from the corruption that has been brought about by affirmative action.

Heaven does NOT subscribe to affirmative action. The Lord has given each of us the opportunity to find the ONE way ot salvation, to belive and accept Jesus, Our Redeemer and Savior.

There are no other ways to salvation..

Those who think redemption is governed by affirmative action policies are going to burn for eternity.
Acts 3:24-25 "The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by hands. And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything, because he himself gives all men life and breath and everything else."
