First, we Baptists do not have priests, that is the Catholic church who has them. Secound the fact that God was raving this man's brain and tallywacker showed he wasn't a TRUE Christian, as he admited.

Good to see this so called pastor did the right thing and rolled over and died like Jesus wanted.

Time to reclaim our FREEDOM from the “Mullah in Chief” and his growing activist voter hoards of socialists, communists, anti-Semites, anti-Christians, atheists, radical gays and lesbians, feminists, illegal immigrants, Muslims, anti-Anglo whites and others.

Seems to me that a god would want the beings he/she/it created to know the difference between good and evil. And it seems to me that a god would know that if beings have curious minds and free will, they're going to investigate things. Seems to me that according to your creation myth, your god set Adam and Eve up intending them to fall.
If you'd read your Bible, you would know precisely why.

      Genesis 2:15-17
15 And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.

16 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:
17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

First, Adam was God's gardener. Does not the owner of the garden have the right to tell the gardener what he may or may not eat?

God also warned Adam that if he ate of that particular tree, Adam would die that very day.
Seems to me that a god would want the beings he/she/it created to know the difference between good and evil.
      Genesis 3:5-7 and 22-23
5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.
7 And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.

22 And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:
23 Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.

God knew that His trees would make humans like gods -- His equal! -- so He had to cast them out. After all, He created humans! How could they be His equals?!

So if God didn't want human beings to be his equals, then why did he create a tree whose fruit would make them so?

So what? If God Almighty wants to set Adam and Eve (especially Eve) up for a fall, who are you to stop Him?
O Lord our God, help us to tear their soldiers to bloody shreds with our shells; help us to cover their smiling fields with the pale forms of their patriot dead; help us to drown the thunder of the guns with the shrieks of their wounded, writhing in pain; help us to lay waste their humble homes with a hurricane of fire; help us to wring the hearts of their unoffending widows with unavailing grief; help us to turn them out roofless with little children to wander unfriended the wastes of their desolated land in rags and hunger and thirst, sports of the sun flames of summer and the icy winds of winter, broken in spirit, worn with travail, imploring Thee for the refuge of the grave and denied it--for our sakes who adore Thee, Lord, blast their hopes, blight their lives, protract their bitter pilgrimage, make heavy their steps, water their way with their tears, stain the white snow with the blood of their wounded feet! We ask it, in the spirit of love, of Him Who is the Source of Love, and Who is the ever-faithful refuge and friend of all that are sore beset and seek His aid with humble and contrite hearts. Amen.

God being truth, justice, goodness, beauty, power, and life, man is falsehood, iniquity, evil, ugliness, impotence, and death. God being master, man is the slave. Incapable of finding justice, truth, and eternal life by his own effort, he can attain them only through a divine revelation... he who desires to worship God must harbor no childish illusions about the matter, but bravely renounce his liberty and humanity.

Trusting Jesus always works; even if he kills you...

                    Job 13:15
Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him.

At the risk of repeating myself:
I am pagan, but not a witch. Witchcraft is one specific form of paganism, just as Baptist is a specific form of Christianity. While all witches are pagan, not all pagans are witches. Just like while all pliars are tools, not all tools are pliars. Got the difference now?

Witches do not eat babies. Nor do I. Nor does any other pagan of my acquaintance. In fact, many are either vegetarian or vegan.

You don't call creating a person for the sole purpose of allowing him to be tortured to death for misdeeds he didn't commit sadistic?

Listen wicker; Landover has records going of the confessions of repentant witches going back to 1611. I myself have seen them get up in Sunday service and repent of their sins in front of the whole congregation. Two a woman they say the same thing about wicker baby eating. Now who do expect me to believe? A woman who has come to Christ so fervently she can't even wait for the burns on her body to heal to repent or you?

Jesus is not a person created by God silly, Jesus is God. What happened was God offered Himself (as Jesus) to be tortured and die ever so briefly. Why did God do it? That would just enrage Him even further. If you believe that God is a vicious, sadistic maniac, wouldn't it be better to stay on His good side?

The phrase is used as a reference to the pagan tradition of human sacrifice. I'd have expected you to work that out, at the very least.

As above: why wouldn't you worship Him? Would you want to anger an incredibly powerful being with an obvious sadistic streak?

If he's omnipotent and capricious, he's going to do as he pleases regardless of my actions, so why bother?

The phrase is used as a reference to the pagan tradition of human sacrifice. I'd have expected you to work that out, at the very least.

                                It's incorrect usage. .

Maybe He wants to send people to Hell? Who are we to judge Him?
If what you believe is true, and he can send people to hell at will, then it really doesn't matter if I worship him or not. What would stop him from sending people who believe in him to hell along with everyone else if it crossed his mind to do so?
