Yes, and that's why it's meaningful to compare us to the Mongols. If we stated "we are the most powerful and wealthiest country ever to exist in the 21st century", then a comparison would be irrelevant; but you are the one claiming that there has been a country wealthier and more powerful than the US, so the onus is on you to prove that said country exists or has existed at some point.

I'm also serious that you need to learn basic logic. You debate like a toddler plays a piano -- just banging on the keys and making noise.

I can tell that you have been exposed to debate, because you are able to ape some of the posturing and vocabulary, but you don't understand how the logical constructs work. It's like you are just flinging around big words you don't really understand, attempting to sound more educated than you are. It might fool your friends, but it won't fool people who actually have the education and understanding that you are aping.

So, what do churches do?

Son, churches, or, rather ONE church, Landover Baptist, serves to cement the bonds of the family unit..; to help people move comfortably and with the sure guarantee of SALVATION(TM) from birth, through adolescence, into marriage, and into the next generation. We provide comfort to the distraught, reassurance to the old, and honor for those who are called home by JESUS.

We bring the actual elements of civilization and proper conduct into society and bond diverse communities into a mutually supporting group we are proud to call Americans. We lead the call to stand together against tyranny, oppression and dominance by others who wish to terrorize and dominate us.

And we do all this because we are called to help our fellow man tread the path of righteousness. It isn't easy. Many fall by the wayside, many are called upon to give the ultimate sacrifice and some, like Ted Haggard, simply fall into sin. But if we give up.....if we surrender to SATAN...if we trade our ethics, character, decency, goodness, honesty, integrity, righteousness and virtue for impropriety, indecency, debauchery, depravity, perversion, corruption and sin, we shall surely fall faster than the Roman Empire.

Churches provide that break, on the day of rest, from the hectic bustle and stress of modern life. We come together in fellowship, we meet and interact, and we hear the word of GOD reassuring us that no matter what horrible tragedy awaits us tomorrow, today we are safe. Today we are friends. Today we are together in spirit. Today we are bonded as Americans.

That's what churches do. But most of them don't bother with the Bible anymore. They are little better than group therapy sessions. You come feeling empty and alone and you leave the same way. But not Landover. At Landover, you come because you want to know Jesus and while everyone understands you can't BE Jesus, you can talk to Him and get the answer to any problem, right here, right now.

We don't make you kneel in front of a pastor and pretend to eat the flesh of Jesus and drink His blood. We don't dress up in silk gowns and stand on a podium high above you to try and make you feel inferior. We don't play rock music or try to hype everyone up until they are screaming and fainting, and we don't walk through the congregation curing the blind for $1,000 per eye.

We bring people together and teach them the things they might not be taught at home or in school because of 'political correctness' and because parents nowadays don't discipline their children at all, so children have absolutely no sense of right and wrong. We teach the difference between right and wrong.

I suppose, if you distilled what Landover Baptist does into one sentence, it would have to be just that. We teach the difference between right and wrong. We teach what the Bible ACTUALLY SAYS! The Bible says you can own slaves. the Bible says you must kill for the LORD! So I never get tired of saying it, boy. YOU go GOD or you go ODD. And you aren't going to find GOD anywhere but HERE.
