  • Potty Mouths Throw Mud at Newt

Statesman Newt Gingrich has to put up with a lot. He takes the trouble in his blog to lay out the rational and logical case for heterosexual marriage and against gay marriage. What do the comments bring? The vile and filthy backbenchers throw all manner of garbage, none of which has anything to do with the topic at hand:

The backbenchers took after the Honorable Gingrich because he has been married three times. One snot-nosed kid asked him, "Which of your three marriages was most sacred?"

Here is the simple fact about Newt's two failed marriages: He had two bad wives. Bad wives led to failed marriages.

When people come realize that this is why he suffered these divorces, he will have no problem moving ahead in his political career.
Isaiah 24:1-3 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty (2)...as the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him. (3) The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken his word.

I've known Newt since I was doing the Washington beat back in the 80s for Freehold Radio. I've come to learn one thing about this man over all the years I've known him: Newt Gingrich is a man who loves the marriage of one man and one woman. In fact, he loves the marriage between one man and one woman so much he has now personally been involved in three of them!

Re: Potty Mouths Throw Mud at Newt

I have followed Brother Newt's rise to prominence since I was in junior high. I viewed him with suspicion for a long time, as it is well known that he was a long-haired, draft-dodging dope-smoker before he decided to run for a Christian, Real American™ congressional district in 1974. Although he enacted many Godly Republican prerogatives during his congressional career, it was not until his 2007 interview on Dr. James Dobson's radio program that I came to fully accept him as a fellow Brother in Christ.

Former House speaker and potential presidential candidate Newt Gingrich has confessed, telling conservative Christian leader James Dobson that he was cheating on his wife at around the same time the House was impeaching President Bill Clinton over his White House affair with Monica Lewinsky.

      ...

But Gingrich, who just published a book called "Rediscovering God in America," tapped a religious leader for his confession and expressed repentance.

"There are things in my own life that I have turned to God and have gotten on my knees and prayed about and sought God's forgiveness," he told Dobson.

Gingrich's first marriage ended after he discussed the details of the divorce with his wife while she was recovering from cancer surgery. He married again in 1981 and was divorced in 2000, when he married the young congressional aide with whom he had the affair.

So, will religious voters forgive Gingrich? Dobson seemed inclined to think so.

"I think it's really important and will be for many of our listeners to know your responses to that point of disappointment back there someplace, and I really appreciate your willingness to do so," Dobson told Gingrich.

      II Corinthians 5:17
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

A short time before the Good LORD called Pastor Jerry Falwell home to the bosom of Christ, the good Reverend authored this article about why he invited Brother Newt to give a speech at the prestigious Liberty University.

Originally posted by Reverend Jerry Falwell

Mr. Gingrich admitted to the affair in a two-part interview with Dr. James Dobson, during a ''Focus on the Family'' broadcast.

I was pleased to hear Mr. Gingrich state: ''I've gotten on my knees and sought God's forgiveness.''

He has admitted his moral shortcomings to me, as well, in private conversations. And he has also told me that he has, in recent years, come to grips with his personal failures and sought God's forgiveness.

I have been very impressed with the spiritual maturity of this man and am convinced that he has been honest and forthright in clarifying his past failings and his quest, as a Christian, for God's forgiveness.
Mr. Gingrich, now 63 and a grandfather, openly discussed his two divorces with Dr. Dobson, including the affair that took place during the Clinton impeachment proceedings. It is a ''very painful topic and I confess that to you directly,'' he stated.

As a pastor with more than a half-century of experience of working with fallible people, I have ministered to a few men who have experienced moral collapse. I have usually been able to tell which of these men was genuinely seeking forgiveness for their actions. My sense tells me that Mr. Gingrich is such a man. He is today happily married to wife Callista, and committed to being the husband he should be.

I well remember the challenge we evangelicals faced in 1980 when our candidate, Ronald Reagan, was the first presidential candidate who had gone through a divorce. We wisely made allowance for God's forgiveness and America was the beneficiary of this historic champion.

Consequently, I decided earlier this week to invite Mr. Gingrich to come to Liberty University on May 19 as our graduation speaker. This will be his second commencement speech at Liberty, previously addressing graduates in 1991.

In recent years, Mr. Gingrich has dedicated much of his time to calling America back to our Christian heritage.

His most recent book, ''Rediscovering God in America,'' is a brilliant essay that highlights the unique and obvious Christian influence that inspired our nation's dawning. The book takes readers on a tour of Washington, D.C., inspecting many documents, memorials, friezes and writings of presidents and national leaders who clearly put allegiance to Almighty God at the forefront of the nation's development.

There has been a war on God in our nation in recent years and the effort to rekindle our national commitment to God is urgently needed.

Mr. Gingrich is certainly one of the brightest men I know in public life today, and he is becoming one of our great ambassadors for reawakening the spirit of our Founders.

In fact, his topic during the May 19 graduation will be, ''Rediscovering God in America.'' I am already anxious to hear it and am pleased that our young people will hear this modern American statesman.

I'm proud to call Mr. Gingrich my friend and I will continue to pray for him and his family as he contemplates a run for the presidency and as he deals with the coming media scrutiny of his past, present and future.

Newt once was lost, but now is found
Was blind, but now he sees

Here are some excerpts from Brother Newt's inspired testimony at Liberty University's 2007 commencement:

"In hostility to American history, the radical secularists insist that religious belief is inherently divisive and that public debate can only proceed on secular terms," he said.

      ...

Gingrich said after his speech that Falwell's death would not slow the Christian right's efforts.

"Anybody on the left who hopes that when people like Reverend Falwell disappear that the opportunity to convert all of America has gone with them fundamentally misunderstands why institutions like this were created," Gingrich said.
Brother Newt has had his sins washed away by the Blood of JESUS, and he has made a public confession through James Dobson, much as David Berkowitz and Ted Bundy (who now rejoices with Reverend Falwell in Heaven), did in previous years.

God does not hold him at fault, and neither should we. Shame on those who do.
      II Thessalonians 1:7-9
And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,
In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power

For people who are supposed to be tolerant of all sorts of things, liebrals sure aren't big in the forgiveness department, are they? I mean if God can forgive Brother Newt, then why cant they? Instead they want to keep everyone down in the sinful sludge of the gutters.

This just goes to show that with God ALL things are possible! It's such a beautiful story my tears are at this moment trying to short out my keyboard.

Jesus wants that stray lamb, that one lost sheep, that wooly Newt. It's so unusual for a man caught dead-bang, so to speak, to get down on his knees and cry for Jesus. You just never hear of such things. With nary a thought or care for repairing his tattered political life, Newt threw caution in the trash before his Christian political base and bravely, publicly asked for our Lord's forgiveness. Jesus wept. So did I. So should we all.

To our next President - God Bless!

If there ever was a man who knows the dangers of homosexuality towards marriage it is the trice married Newt Gingrich .

Time to reclaim our FREEDOM from the “Mullah in Chief” and his growing activist voter hoards of socialists, communists, anti-Semites, anti-Christians, atheists, radical gays and lesbians, feminists, illegal immigrants, Muslims, anti-Anglo whites and others.

I am deeply moved by these revelations Brothers, and I sincerely hope that Newt's salvation has come to pass. There are some deeply disturbing things in Newt's past that I am having a difficult time with.

When two cathylicks sit down together on the same couch there are bound to be problems that the Lord can become angered with and the outcome can be equally unexpected and strike at any time. I have half a mind to insist that Nancy Pelosi's dress be tested for DNA, and for that matter have the couch tested as well.

What a wise statement! I still can't believe this judge had such disregard an antipathy for the votes of 7 billion Californians!

I agree that he had bad wives. Equally bad children, but I have a really good feeling about this one. I just feel so... right because he has an R next to his name.

I hasten to add that current reports of Newt being unfaithful to wife number 3 are absolutely, unequivocally, and totally false.

Newt is distantly related to my father-in-laws step niece, and we are privy to all the inner workings of his Godly family.

I repeat, the sordid and salacious rumors of Newt being unfaithful again are total fabrications from his LIE-BERAL enemies who delight in besmirching the Saved(TM).

One of Newt's harlot wives who couldn't keep a man (the second one) has made up some terrible stories about Mr. Gingrich in the latest issue of Esquire magazine. It figures that the spurned broad would run to the liberal media telling tales out of school.... the liberal media wants to believe, needs to believe that America's Foremost Conservative Intellectual(tm) is not also The Nicest Man on Earth(r).
