O'Donnell Said She Practiced Witchcraft

Last night, Bill Maher played a previously-unaired 1999 video clip of Delaware U.S. Senate candidate Christine O'Donnell ® in which she said she once "practiced witchcraft."

Said O'Donnell: "I dabbled into witchcraft -- I never joined a coven. But I did, I did... I dabbled into witchcraft. I hung around people who were doing these things. I'm not making this stuff up. I know what they told me they do... One of my first dates with a witch was on a satanic altar, and I didn't know it. I mean, there's little blood there and stuff like that. We went to a movie and then had a midnight picnic on a satanic altar."

Maher joked that he's going to show a new clip of O'Donnell every week on his show until she agrees to appear on his show again.

Said Maher: "I'm just saying, Christine, it's like a hostage crisis, every week you don't show up, I'm going to throw another body out."

I do not think this poor, delusional creature was ever involved in witchcraft.

As something of an expert in the art of listening to people's confessions, I suggest she was making that story up in a poor effort to bolster her credentials that, at that time, were thinner than a communion wafer.

How could anyone with a lick of common sense believe some crazy story of an Altar, some blood and a whacky ceremony of 'witches' on a movie date?

Thankfully, we in Vatican City will never have to worry about electing some crazed woman to office thanks to fringe religious groups and their support.




Perhaps there is a lesson for America in this!

C'mon, she's not a witch. I truly believe that it was her faith in Jesus Christ that protected her from succumbing to the wiccan agenda. A weaker person, or a person with a weak intellect, would fall right into their trap. Usually the reason is that they've already abandoned Jesus for allegiance with the evil spirits.

Dabbling in witchcraft? She dabbled in witchcraft? You can't dabble in witchcraft. You can dabble in scrapbooking, you can dabble in stamp collecting, and you can dabble in fiction writing. Dabbling is what happens when you become interested in something for a short period of time and then decide it isn't your cup of tea: that unfinished decorative mailbox in your garage, that HAM radio collecting dust in your closet, that amateur birdwatching book you bought -- all examples of dabbling! You can't half-sacrifice a goat on an alter while you're shrouded in a red cloak and say "I don't think this is for me."

I agree it is terrible if really she is a witch. But, I'm wondering. Could it be a trick she is playing on the Democrats?

You'd have to believe that every Wiccon is a Dem. Each vote Mrs. O'Donnell steals from the Dems is a two-vote contribution, one less for them, one more for us.

I don't know how many Wiccon votes there are in Delaware, but there must be quite a few. Maybe this will work out for us after all.
