One of the leading Republican candidates, Mike Huckabee, is being hounded by a bizarre cult based in upstate New York. THIS is why we need to win the war on terror and kick the demoncrats out of Washington permanently.

December 31, 2007 — Mike Huckabee is being backed by a bizarre upstate group that has been denounced as a cult, The Post has learned.

Records show Huckabee raked in $20,000 from Sara Bronfman, the Seagram liquor heiress and high-profile devotee of the NXIVM group.

Bronfman made the donation to Hope for America, a political action committee set up in Virginia by Huckabee, according to that state’s public records.

Albany-based NXIVM bills itself as an executive-training program, but detractors have said it is a “cult.”

Its leader, Keith Raniere, was run out of Huckabee’s home state of Arkansas in 1992 after authorities there accused him of running a pyramid scheme. Facing probes in 23 other states, Raniere shuttered his operation.

Bronfman listed herself as an employee of a NXIVM subsidiary when she donated to Huckabee’s PAC in December 2005.

Huckabee shuttered the PAC earlier this year.

Huckabee campaign officials did not respond to requests for comment.

Let's all keep Mike Huckabee in our prayers over this misunderstanding. These cults are everywhere and condemned by Jesus.

Ah, but will he? Huck's doing ok in Iowa (we'll find out how well late tonight or in the morning) but I don't think it'll last.

Were I a necromancer and felt caused to make a prediction, I'd stir up the freshly-killed goat's entrails and predict that Johnny McCain will lead the War on Terra, assuming that he can get past the Democrat. Which might be assuming a lot.

But for now, I'll spare the goat and predict nothing. After all, while I've been a regular at Landover for some years, this post is the soonest anyone's known of it, and I really don't trust that goat.

In all honesty, tomorrow I'll wake up and hear that Huckabee won by a landslide.

Huck will then proceed to win the November elections, but will insist on GWB doing 4 more years, perhaps with him as a replacement for one of the more liebral Republicans in office today. (as Condi is suspected to be a lezzer nigra, I think the choice is obvious).

I will pray for that scenario tonight!

I was going to post something negative about presidential candidate Mike Huckabee. However, after searching my conscience, I decided that I won't post this negative information, even though Huckabee has launched deceitful personal attacks against me. I believe that it's important to send a positive message to all LandoverBaptist voters.

Some of you might think this is a cynical charade to get others to air an attack on Huckabee while absolving me from responsibility, but that is just not true. I would never do such a thing.

My gut tells me that Huckabee's only involvement with this cult was for research purposes. He has already stated that he's the best person in America to deal with Islamofacism because he has a theology degree. In short, the best way win a war against an uncompromizing religious firebrand, is to elect an uncompromizing religious firebrand.
