    Questions about Wicca?

    Hello and blessed be!

My name is Lauren and I am proud to be Wiccan.

I came to this forum to clear up any misconceptions about Wiccans.

    So, ask away!

Did you toss a coin between scientology and wicca when you decided to choose what modern new-age "religion" to follow?

The only thing worth knowing about Wickers is what God tells us in His word. So allow me to clear up YOUR misconceptions:

Leviticus 19:31 - Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I [am] the LORD your God.

Exodus 22:18 - Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live.

Deuteronomy 18:10 - There shall not be found among you [any one] that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, [or] that useth divination, [or] an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch,

Revelation 21:8 - But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
Thank you for confessing to this vicious hate crime against God and His children. Now all you have to do is believe in Christ's temporary sacrifice, repent, and get baptized.

What attracted you to Wicca? In other words, why do you think it's the right path for you?

Well, I was raised in a Christian family, but it never felt right to me. About a year before I became Wiccan (6th-7th grade), I decided to give atheism a try. But, I fell into a deep depression. Then, she came into my life, the Goddess and saved my soul.

The only thing worth knowing about Wickers is what God tells us in His word. So allow me to clear up YOUR misconceptions:

          Quote:

Thank you for your concern, but using a text that I don't believe in does nothing to change my mind. It's like an atheist trying to tell you God isn't real by using a science textbook.

Did you toss a coin between scientology and wicca when you decided to choose what modern new-age "religion" to follow?
No, Scientology actually makes me laugh. Hard. Wicca was the path right in front of me and the Goddess came to me in my darkest hour to light the way.

I heard that from a friend of one of my children whose older sister does that and is a wiccan, so I wonder if all of you do that.

Also, why do you snort condoms up your noses?
Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

Only Jesus can save your soul, that's why He made you to come to this Godly forum. Anyway, how long it took before you self proclaimed yourself as priestess? I mean, after all, 99% of all wiccans who come here are either self proclaimed priestesses or self proclaimed high-priestesses. I guess it's the advantage whyën your "religion" does not have any structure, so you can just give any title to yourself you like. It's not like anyone actually care and it's SOOO boring to be just a lay member anyway.

So you had a direct religious experience? People claim to have had direct experiences of Jesus, Shiva, and other deities, and they cannot all be right. How do you know that you are right and they are wrong?

Haha, no I do not, and I haven't heard of any Wiccan that does (besides your friend's sister). I imagine it would be very uncomfortable.

And, I do not snort condoms up my nose. What you are talking about is the infamous "Condom Challenge", a disgusting behavior that I refuse to take part of.

                    I think you are lying.

I've heard all witches do these things but they lie to people until they join their covens. Are you here to convert people to your dark magic?

Can you taste the difference between baby blood and human blood?

Do you let human flesh marinate or do you eat it immediately following the sacrifice?

Actually, I am a solitary practitioner, meaning I work alone. So I guess I'm my own high priestess!

And our religion does have structure. You have the bible and we have the Wiccan Rede.

When the wind whispers from the West,
All hearts will find peace and rest.

                            Birch in the fire goes,
To represent what The Lady knows.
Oak in the forest towers with might,
In the fire it brings The God's insight.
Rowan is a tree of power,
Causing life and magic to flower.
                            Willows at the waterside stand,
Ready to help us to Summerland.

Hazel - the tree of wisdom and learning,
Adds it's strength to the bright fire burning.
White are the flowers of Apple tree,
That brings us fruits of fertility.
                            Grapes grow upon the vine,
Giving us both joy and wine.
                            Fir does mark the evergreen,
                            To represent immortality seen.
                            Elder is the Lady's tree,
Burn it not or cursed ye'll be.

                            Four times the major sabbats,
Mark in the light and in the dark.
As the old year starts to wane,
The new begins it's now Samhain.
When the time for Imbolc shows,
Watch for flowers through the snows.
When the wheel has turned to Yule,
Light the log The Horned One rules.
In the spring when night equals day,
Time for Ostara to come our way.
When the Sun has reached it's height,
Time for Oak and Holly to fight.
Harvesting comes to one and all,
When the Autumn Equinox does fall.
Heed the flower, bush, and tree,
By the Lady blessed ye'll be.

                            Where the rippling water go,
Cast a stone, the truth ye'll know.
When you have and hold a need,
                            Harken not to others greed.
With a fool no season spend,
Or be counted as his friend.

                            Merry Meet and Merry Part,
Bright the cheeks and warm the heart.
Mind the Three-fold law ye should,
Three times bad and three times good.

                            When misfortune is enow,
Where the star upon your brow.
Be true in love this you must do,
Unless your love is false to you.

Eight words the Wiccan Rede fulfil:
"An It Harm None, Do What Ye Will."

And, depending on what coven and what denomination of Wicca you are practicing, the ranks are different. But, I doubt that that many real High Priests and Priestesses come here.

Do scorn all the people who dares to think differently than you?
Oh no, I'm sorry it came off that way! I just mean that it seems like something out of a science fiction novel, not that the religion is stupid. I fully respect all members of the Church of Scientology.

So you had a direct religious experience? People claim to have had direct experiences of Jesus, Shiva, and other deities, and they cannot all be right. How do you know that you are right and they are wrong?
The reason I didn't pass it off as some weird hallucination is because I've seen, felt and heard her all my life. She was the reason the trees rustled whenever I was around. She was the voice whispering to me in church saying, "You don't belong here." Sh finally revealed herself to me the night before I planned to commit suicide. She showed me that I am her child and that I shouldn't be afraid anymore. She is my silent protector, my beautiful guardian.
                            Exodus 22:18
Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live.
