  • Who are you most looking forward to spending eternity with?

    And why?

I'll start us off with Paul Ryan. I must admit, I barely knew who he was before his stratospheric rise to Speaker of the House. He was also VP candidate for Mitt Romney, adding solid BWG credentials as a counter-weight to Mitt's extravagant style. After seeing Paul on TV this week, all I want in Heaven (after meeting Jesus) is to find a comfortable armchair and listen to Paul tell me about his political ideas and tax plans for the rest of all time.
If I have seen further, it is by standing on the heads of others.

      Hello Dr. Anthony J. Toole.

I am looking forward to spending eternity with Elisha some children made fun of his male pattern baldness so he cried out to God and so God sent two female bears to kill the 42 children who were mean to him look at 2 Kings 2:23-24 it says:

And he went up from thence unto Bethel: and as he was going up by the way, there came forth little children out of the city, and mocked him, and said unto him, Go up, thou bald head; go up, thou bald head. And he turned back, and looked on them, and cursed them in the name of the LORD. And there came forth two she bears out of the wood, and tare forty and two children of them.

His name might be Elijah that book is confusing because it has Elisha and Elijah they look very similar I lost my reading glasses so maybe I want to spend eternity with Elijah.

      Thank you.

I cannot understand how threads like this get started. It is against scripture. I have been praying and fasting over the thread starter for the last seven minutes. Ever since I first read it, in fact. Look what the Lord says about this idol worship. Do you not know that God could send legions of angels down to close this whole website down and only refrains from doing so out of divine humility and holy hiddenness and his infinite mercy even for heathens and evil-doers?

        Exodus 20:4 - 20:5

4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness [of any thing] that [is] in heaven above, or that [is] in the earth beneath, or that [is] in the water under the earth:
        5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God [am] a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth [generation] of them that hate me;

If I were to go about hoping to meet Frank Sinatra in heaven or Steve McQueen, what might the Lord say other than I am drunk on the things of this world and not intoxicated by the Holy Ghost as I should be and therefore a God hater.

I will send out a prayer request out for you people.

Believe it or not I agree with you!

It sound like everybody on this thread is just wanting to go to heaven so they can meet their earthly idols.
When I get into heaven I'm going straight to Jesus and I'm going to spend my whole time with him! Praise God!
People need to focus on God and not some conservative politicians!

                This.

Every single Christian on the face of the Earth will be spending eternity in the muscular embrace of Jesus.

It is fortunate indeed that through out time Christians have always put aside their Earthy concerns and differences to love Jesus.

The first person I want to meet when I get to heaven is Adam, because I want to punch him right in the face for being such a dumb ass.

Why, we have an entire thread devoted to people who deserved a punch!

If you could punch anyone from History, who would you punch?

I wouldn't have minded meeting Balaam. After all, how many people do you know get to witness the LORD speaking out of His ass (Numbers 22:28)? But alas, he is a Jew and a minion of Satan, and therefore burning and suffering in Hell even now.
Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

                          Mr. Horolev,

A commendable and well-motivated plan but, alas, Enoch was probably the first man allowed into Heaven. Not Adam.

                          Genesis 5:24
And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.

This is, of course, somewhat controversial but we'll see once in Eternal Joy with Jesus. However, Elijah was surely taken into Heaven.

                          2 Kings 2:1
And it came to pass, when the LORD would take up Elijah into heaven by a whirlwind, that Elijah went with Elisha from Gilgal.

Hence, Adam won't be there. And why bother with the sinners while in Heaven!? You can always watch them writhe in agony. The demons are much more effective delivering pain than you can ever be.

Personally, I'd like to meet the malefactor who was taken into Heaven the same day as Jesus!

                          Luke 23:43
And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.

I wonder if he still hangs around with Jesus. Do they play golf? Do they stroll the meadows remembering the good old days on the cross? He is the guy I'm expecting to meet!

                          Yours in Christ,

2 Kings 18:25 - Am I now come up without the LORD against this place to destroy it? The LORD said to me, Go up against this land, and destroy it.
