I think it's rather obvious that he is a bad influence. Would you want your child to become Kurt Cobain?

Perhaps I have been brainwashed by Satan. But then again, perhaps God is trying to brainwash me through you. Who knows. As The good Nurse Clampett said "we are all given free will" so please stop attempting to remove mine by controlling the music I listen to and the games I play.

Also whilst we're on the topic of Oblivion... The main antagonist is infact Mehrunes Dagon, a Daedric Lord, who does indeed resembe the devil (red, horns, the lot). And as you might expect, the main antagonist is defeated by the player, a vistory for good I would say. Given that this is the main focus and climax of the game I find it difficult to understand your ideas that the game promotes evil. If anything it promotes the destruction of evil. Oh and yes, the player has to enter the realm of Oblivion to complete the game, but I'd like to point out that the purpose of you entering Oblivion is to destroy the evil which is Mehrunes Dagon. The player makes a great sacrifice and takes a huge risk in entering the realms of Oblivion but their motives are definately that of good, maybe not that of you True Christians, but never-the-less certainly not evil.

He isn't trying to remove your free will. He would have to physically take these things from you to interfere with your free will. Now, you are reading his posts of your own free will. You have made the decision to read his words. Don't blame the Reverend for what you choose to do.

He made music, he dealt with real issues, I find it far easier to relate to Kurt that the Bible. I've listened to Nirvana for years. And yet never once have I tried any illegal drugs, I've not even once smoked a cigarette. So don't go spewwing accusations that hearing about drug use leads to using drugs. Half of kurt's music was written whilst he was pretty down, anyone with half an ounce of sense can see that and learn from his mistakes, not repeat them.

No I wouldn't want my child to become like Kurt Cobain. But what good will eradicating his music do (which I'm sure you'd do given the chance, just as you were asking that people request Oblivion to be taken off shelves)? By getting rid of the evidence of his mistakes you leave people open to make those same mistakes again.

He is a bad guy, certainly. But my ideas of what makes a bad guy and your ideas are different. I think he was a bad guy because he sought to opress the world, and I think that's also what most organised religion aims to do so I see you both as enemies. Perhaps if I was to talk to Mehrunes Dagon I might take your name, just to irritate him. And no, I do not worship Satan.

I've been very patient with you up until now. Is he in your house trying to take your stupid video game away? No. Did he make you read that thread? No. I think I will go troll a European feminist board and rail that they are trying to take away my razor.

What I would like for you to answer me is how do you know that Kurt didn't accept Jesus into his life? Did you have a one on one chat about him? But I guess I could expect that kind of blindness from someone who posts pictures of himself looking like a televangelist(who are the ultimate evil imo).

No, I happen to know the story behind the songs, unlike people here I do real research. He was also murdered by his ex wife, Courtney Love. Go check out the book "Love and Death". It's pretty insightful into Kurts life and the conspiracy to murder him.

He was a drug addict who wrote bad poems and set them to simple music, much like the Doors and AC/DC. Really bad poetry, really simple music that uncultured people can appreciate.
He was no Perry Como thats for sure.

Again, do more research, he suffered from a pinched nerve in his back when he was younger, which caused him to spasm over in pain and damaged the nerves in his stomach and intestines. The doctors at the time were unable to figure what it was he was suffering from, but still prescribed him strong painkillers. They eventually stopped working(much like my own for my Crohns have) so he started using heroin. Was a bad decision? Yes, and I don't deny that. What I do deny is uneducated opinions on topics that people clearly know nothing about.

If you know how to read then I suggest that you pick up "Love and Death" and learn a thing or two.

The only thing that boy was suffering from was the lack of Jesus in his heart.If he could've found Jesus,things would've been much different and he may have made some nice Christian music.But he did not and is suffering in Hell now.Praise Jesus.

First off it is not my book. Secondly it was God who decided to give me the disease, Him and no one else(explain that one cause I have lived my life according to the Bible). Secondly, your absolutely right that someone else shot him, he was too high to do it, meaning someone drugged him up...

You know what? This argument with you Marshall is moot, you say that we can come on this board and talk about Christian things. I try to enlighten you to something that very likely happened and all I get is ridicule. What does God think about that? I haven't taken any cheap shots at you, called you names, or degraded you, yet you feel the need to talk down to me instead of talking at me. Such a shame.
