By now we have all heard the news coming out of Alabama: that a female college professor, piqued at not receiving a job promotion, snapped, opening fire on a faculty meeting. The carnage: 2 dead, 3 wounded.
What this shows us, once again, is that women are simply too emotional to easily blend into the workplace.
Had Professor Amy Bishop stayed home to raise her (4) children, her victims would be with us today. Had she embraced, not defied, the "traditional" role of womanhood, she might have even had time to pay proper attention to her appearance. Was the tenure she so obsessively sought denied because if she obviously couldn't master applying lipstick, it would follow to scientific minds that she couldn't possibly apply the laws of reason? A valid point. And ultimately, a tragic one.
Something set this "working woman" off, and as night follows day, we know that particular something could have been avoided if she'd read her Bible, stayed at home, and not pushed herself into the Male sphere.
My prayers go out to her husband and children, who must live with this tragedy the rest of their lives...without a mother beside them.
