  • Stirring Tea

I have had some thoughts recently in respect to stirring sugar into tea. I also suppose this will extend to our female members in relation to which way they mix their dough, or whisk an egg.

Is there a correct way of stirring, clockwise or anti clockwise?

Is it ungodly to stir anti-clockwise? Are the wicked trying to turn back time?
Or is it just subliminal personal preference?

Again, this is just speculation and I would love for a Pastor to advise me on such. I am unable to find any scriptures to support this as of yet, but I have my eye out.

Thanks Felicity, I was really putting my neck on the line with such a brash statement. If you imagine stirring Clockwise to be stirring to the "RIGHT" and stiring anti-clockwise to the "LEFT" i can only gather the following.

      Left:
      Left behind.
      Left to rot.
      Left Alone.

      Right:
      Right Now
      Righteous
      Going the Right Way

Left is the opposite of Right.
Right is the opposite of Wrong.
      Left must then be Wrong!
Thus its the wrong way to stirr!!

        A small concern:

If the tea comes from the Godless Chinese Communists, I don't think it should be in your home.

Additionally, some of the flavored varieties, especially Earl Grey, denote a concern by the manufacturer to cater to the unGodly homosexual element. Be especially careful in this regard.
Jud 1:15 To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are unGodly among them of all their unGodly deeds which they have unGodly committed, and of all their hard [speeches] which unGodly sinners have spoken against him.

Even worse, some of these teas are intended for the hippies.

These are abominations. Compounding these sinful varieties, some even cater to gay hippies. Jesus will burn you for allowing this Satanic broth to touch your lips.

Interesting, as they serve tea in my local parish.
I will have to investigate and advice them accordingly if for any reason the tea is from an ungodly source.

Parish? You did say "Parish", correct?

The internets have this definition of a Parish:

              [quote}
              Roman Catholic Church
              Main article: Parish (Catholic Church)
In the Roman Catholic Church, each parish has at least one parish priest, who has responsibility and canonical authority over the parish (the Latin for this post is parochus).
A parish priest may have one or more fellow priests assisting him. In Catholic usage this priest is technically a "parochial vicar", but is commonly called an "associate pastor" or "assistant pastor" (or just "associate" or "assistant"), a curate, or vicar - common as they are, these terms are inaccurate and many dioceses have recently begun using the canonical term "parochial vicar" even in general parish communications (bulletins and the like).
              [/quote]

Miss Purity, are you attending a cathylicker church of some kind?

We are a very loving and forgiving people here, but your comment is troubling.

I'm less troubled by the source of the tea than I am by who exactly is stirring the tea? Is it the priest? And what is he sirring it with?

Sorry to have created some kind of confusion.

I can assure you it is a Christian church, full of Christian people.

I do not approve of catlicks.

So you haven't seen a priest stirring your tea with his "swizzle stick"?

                  That's a comfort.

                    Now now,

Before we even get to stirring in the sugar after it gets to the cup, shouldn't it be addressed just what the process is to brew it properly in the pot?

I certainly hope none of the Ladies here are into tea-bagging as that certainly would not do!
