Re: What's for lunch: Roasted Sea turtle
Brother Nobar, drop by my chambers tomorrow at noon. I have a modest supply of sea turtle steaks in the freezer in my robe room and my bailiff wields a pretty mean spatula on the Weber grill on my balcony. We'll have a couple wraps just overloaded with the meat you crave.
How, you ask, did I score nearly forty pounds of this delicacy?
Well, it seems we still have a few Hurricane Katrina evacuees still rattling around the area. One of them (a spade, of course) was caught shop-lifting and hauled in front of my bench.
When I was getting ready to sentence him to our "Chains of Love" program at the Freehold Incarceration Unit, his attorney opined that perhaps creative "restitution" might be in order.
Well, to make a long story short, the coon still had solid contacts down in bayou and offered up something in return for my "reconsideration" in view of the hard life he's led since coming to Iowa (southern jigs can't handle a little frost bite in their lives).
There you have it - the coon is headed south and my freezer is stocked.
Bon Appétit.
