Actually for some reason it's any black dog with light markings above the eyes, so you could also use Gordon Setters or Black and Tan Coonhounds. Rottweilers are just a hell of a lot scarier.

I think you are right. They will try and do anything to cause chaos on Baby Jesus' Birthday. But they won't succeed except for some minor upsets on these InterWebs.
