That staged photo makes me ill everytime I see it! Obama saluting like he actually had done his time,nay duty, in the Military! I wonder if Kenya even has a branch of the National Guard that he could have joined?

Ah, I remember that day well.

I was part of a two person delegation sent by our local chapter of the Bar Association to visit his honor. After our meeting he headed to Marine 1 for a quick flight to the airport and said there was extra room on the chopper.

I asked how many of us could go with him.

I waved to the copter as it left. The Secret Service wrestled me to the ground and then escorted me to the front gate. Good times.
