How can you people be so blind to the fact that there is no god. Supreme being...maybe, but with the info given us now, uh the chance of anything existing is none. Honestly, how can you believe a book written by 12 men that only drank wine and ate bread?

I am looking forward to your explanation of the difference between "Supreme Being" and God.

How do you explain people rising from the dead (literally, and it WAS in a magazine, although I cannot remember which one)? Is that just some freak unexplainable thing that happens? Heck no. Whomever that was most definitely is one with God.

And yes, Ezekiel, changing God's name is very unnecessary.

Brother RossDLtn, that was the best and simplest statement of proof of our Christian faith that I have seen. I have framed it and put it up on my wall, so I can turn to it any time that I feel my faith slacken even slightly.

I'm glad that you think the word "scientists" belongs in quotes. As a former "scientist" myself, I can tell you firsthand that they have a very narrow view of the world. On the whole, I think that the opinions of doctors in life and death matters are well informed. Doctors have seen so many recoveries and resuscitations that can't be explained by science.

Of course, for those of us with Faith, there is no need for "modern" medicine. Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all. Psalms 34:19. We're pretty sure this applies to women as well as to men, though I'll admit that there is some debate over the issue.

And yet, once you have accepted God, you, too, will see the evidence of His presence everywhere.

You're saying that people who eat bread can't tell the truth? That is even more illogical than your other arguments. And what is your argument that the writers of the Bible ate only bread?

As for wine, you have hit upon a common misunderstanding. Yes, Paul did advise Timothy in 1 Timothy 5:23, Drink no longer water, but use a little wine for thy stomach's sake and thine often infirmaties. This was advice that was directed solely to Timothy (and others who, like Timothy, suffered from many infirmities), as can be seen in 1 Timothy 3:3, in which Paul says that a man who desires to be a deacon of the church should be not given to wine. So, surely Paul did not intend that everyone drink solely wine, and they didn't.

If our eyes were damned, rest assured that we would have plucked them long ago: And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire. Matthew 18:9. We take this verse both seriously and literally.

I apologize for my obvious lack of word choice; perhaps a better word would have been "closed", "blind", or perhaps even "non-existent". The point I was trying to get across was that Blue_Requiem needs to open his/her eyes. (S)he needs to wake up and witness the reality that is God.
