I cannot be comforted by the things you all believe in. You worry me.

With some "extreme" religious groups, they think women are just to work for men. That what they think and feel and do is not important, and that they are good for one thing only: giving birth to children.

-While I am so very excited to one day be a mother, I will never be okay with a man telling me what I can and cannot do. What is and is not okay. What I can and cannot think/say. These things are not okay with me, nor will they ever be. God gave me a brain and free will, it was just developed over the years.


Also, I can't bear the thought that such a just and loving God could hate people born with disabilities. I can't fathom that He would hate someone who was unable to prevent this, or defend themselves.

- If God CREATES them all this way, then how they come out MUST be His doing. He has a plan for them, even before they're a thought of their parents' minds, and surely he creates them in this manner for a reason? I believe they are a test of our faith. They test our compassion for the fellow man.


Another thing: abortion. I don't agree with frivilous abortions of stupid kids having premarital sex, but rape? What if it's an ungodly act of rape? What if going through with the pregnancy might KILL her?

- If you're drunk and horny, that kid is your responsibility. If you've been raped, a horrid act, what good can come from that?

God created 'tards and homers and then directs us to kill them. Toy are quite right...they DO serve a purpose, and they ARE a test of whether we have enough faith to follow His orders.

It's quite simple, actually. God wants souls. Living people are nothing to Him unless they are SAVED(TM) as evidenced by the way he makes some of them. Darkies, japs, hindoos, injuns....all fodder to test our faith. He even gave us an example. He so loved His Son that He had Him crucified (temporarily). That is what love means to God, and that's how we are expected to treat our enemies, or even our families if He commands it. Remember! It's not murder if God says to do it!
