i have a friend who wears black and i guess would be considered a goth but his dad owns a church. a christian church and my friend goes there and participates in everything and is a christian.
goths are not bad. goth is a style, not a lifestyle. its not how you live, just how you look.
now i on the other hand am not a goth but i don't believe in god or jesus or anything like that. I'm an agnostic.

You like to make pottery. You have made many pieces of pottery before, and you have a couple of books on pottery techniques, which you take great interest in. Does this make you obsessed with pottery, or does it mean that it's just a hobby that you are interested in?

That isn't a direct comparison, but it's close enough. If I read vampire myths, and create a username with the word "vampire" in it, does that mean I'm obsessed?

If I were obsessed, then I would purposely dress like a vampire, and drink blood. I do neither, it is just another thing that I'm interested in.
