Of course satanists use ceremonies and 'spells' to try and invoke their dark master. Athiests supposedly believe in nothing. Satanists believe that satan will one day rise from the pit and take over the world. They believe that satan can empower them if they engage in vile acts such as animal sacrifice. I'm not sure what planet you live on, but this is most certainly earth.

Obviously you don't know your history. The cathylick church was founded by Emperor Constantine. They mixed Christianity and idol worshipping to please the Roman people. They moved through Europe like a plague and killed anyone that stood in their way. When they had finished, they turned on each other. Try reading about the inquisition, it might open your eyes a bit.

True Christians had no part in the inquisition. The most you could accuse True Christians of is burning a few witches in Salem. God commands that we not suffer a witch to live. Per definition Satanism is believing in your own capacities and capabilities, but that definition rarely ever applies on people who call themselves Satanists, because the vast majority of the people who look up what Satanism is about only do so because it contains "Satan".

I like that definition. When I was younger, and first started studying religions, I read some of Anton LeVey's work. He was completely off his rocker(probably too much PCP). At least Crowley made an attempt to sound educated. It comes with the territory it seems. Most satanists are uneducated children who grow up to be uneducated voters.

No. That's the definiton of "Satanism" as pushed by LaVey.
According to himself, he only used satan as a symbol of "mans inner strenght". But of course.. that's pure hogwash.
He uses satan because he wanted to be look "bad" and "cool".
Satanism, as in knowingly and willingly worshipping satan is much older, and is the only true satanism.
LaVey "satanism" is nothing but an even sillier variant of atheism.


Of course, all religions that aren't from God (ie all religions except True Christianity) are satanic, but the difference is that they worship satan unknowingly.
They honestly believe they are worshipping genuine gods, the silly buggers.
