Have you ever read the Bible, Tabby? Did you even bother to go back and read this thread from the beginning?

God hates degenerates and freaks, Tabby. He also hates those who defend them.

I've never read the bible, I don't care to start now either. How does one become a freak by wearing a band-tee? It doesn't say anywhere in the bible that I can't wear an Aerosmith shirt. So one becomes a "freak" by dressing in a black shirt? So if your God one day decided that purple was a sinful color, you'd shun everyone who wore it? Where is this God anyway? If I'm so evil, why has He not struck me down with a bolt of lightning yet? Plus, who is to say that God doesn't approve of freaks? Give me a line from the bible stating this. Since you probably have the whole thing memorized...

This is where I stopped reading your post.
Why did you come to God's favorite forum then?
Leviticus 20:13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

You haven't read the Holy Bible, and you're not at all interested in reading the Holy Bible, but you demand that we produce a verse from the Holy Bible that proves that "God hates freaks." Have I got that right?

I will punish ... all such as are clothed with strange apparel. -- Zephaniah 1:8

I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators:Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world.
But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolator, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat. -- 1Cor:9-11

The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good. -- Psalm 14:1

          Enjoy hell, freak.

          • Re: Is Your Child a Godless Goth?

I've seen this mini-epidemic surface time and time again. It's time I try and place some reason, on both sides of the field, here.

In hopes that you won't simply read the parts that concern yourselves (talking about the insult-happy persecutors that believe 'Goth' is quote "demonic"), I will start with what is at fault for some Goths (and I do mean some, I do not say this in reference to 'Goth' itself, but merely a select portion of those who tend to the style).

To those Goths who felt the desire to reach out into this particular forum and 'Crusade' against the tyrannical oppression of "wholesome Christianity," I have this to say to you; You are despicable. You rant and you scream, and all you do is bring as much hatred to the table as you see brought unto you. All you do is place a stereotype above the heads over everyone who is not as hateful as you, but have allegedly "gothic" habits/traits.

And now, to the majority of my readers, the Christians who seek to persecute and vanquish all that is Satan. To clear the stereotype, I would like to remind everyone what "Gothic" truly is. Gothic, at first, was a style of architecture once used to construct (ironically) Christian churches. Hopefully, most of you are aware of the basic gist of a Gothic-style church; Characterized, typically, by tall, spire-like structures, dark-stone material, and the presence of stone Gargoyles. For those of you who have seen such churches, whether first-hand or otherwise (And to those who haven't, please look up a reference), you will understand what I am about to explain. Gothic-style churches, agreeably, bring on an ominous presence. They are also very dark, very powerful, and stick out like a sore thumb. Now, fast-forward to present time, where "Gothic" is now a trend, you should see, that there are similarities. The black clothing and chains bring on a very ominous presence, and stand out quite easily.

Before I keep dragging through the subject, I would like to take this time to address the primary message I wish to share with everyone. And that is the unjust nature of persecution on the religious level. If possible, I would like any of you to cite a legitimate source from the Bible that will prove me wrong, in saying that Man should not do God's work. God's work is to be done by God, for it is by his power and his infinite wisdom that he works, and for man to do such would be impossible. In the end, is it not God who judges those sinners, and sends them to Hell for their sins? That, right there, is part of God's work. It is in no manner, that anyone should persecute anyone else for going against the Christian Faith, in any manner; Such behavior suggests you understand God's infinite wisdom, in its entirety, and that you are, by extent, God, yourself. If you think you're God, go ahead, see how well that flies, next Sunday at church.

That is all I have to say on the subject; Open your mind, and you very well may learn from this.

If God did not want us to judge, why did He leave a book with a clear set of standards in them?

Levitucs 19: 15Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment: thou shalt not respect the person of the poor, nor honor the person of the mighty: but in righteousness shalt thou judge thy neighbour.

John 7: 24Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.

1 Corinthians 2: 15But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.

1 Corinthians 5: 12For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within?
13But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.

1 Corinthians 6: 2Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?
3Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?

1 Thessalonians 5: 21Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
22Abstain from all appearance of evil.

2 Timothy 3: 16All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
17That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

2 Timothy 4: 2Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.

Titus 2: 15These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.

Ephesians 5: 11And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

1 John 4: 1Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

Hebrew 5: 12For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.
13For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.
14But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

Romans 16: 17Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.

Romans 15: 14And I myself also am persuaded of you, my brethren, that ye also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another.

2 Thessalonians 3: 13But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing.
14And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed.
15Yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.

1 Corinthians 6: 5I speak to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you? no, not one that shall be able to judge between his brethren?

Matthew 7: 15Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
16Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
17Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
18A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
19Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
20Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

1 Corinthians 14: 29Let the prophets speak two or three, and let the other judge.

Please forgive me, for I believe you have mis-interpreted my meaning. By Judge, I mean give final sentence; where one will end up in the afterlife, whether it be Heaven, Hell, or otherwise. We do not possess this power, and should not pretend like we do.

But, in all honesty, I can truly understand if someone feels that someone/something is against their beliefs, I can understand that. But... the approach to all that I've seen is all wrong. Calling the 'Goths' freaks and abominations, and whatever else your minds may conjure... That seems pretty hateful, and seems like some individuals are less on a mission to spread the teachings of God and attempt to Save these certain individuals (which SHOULD be done out of caring and concern for the individual), and more on some kind of twisted Crusade.

We don't give final judgments. But we let them know that according to the standards of God clearly laid out in the Bible, they WILL rot in hell unless they repent. After they die, we have no way of knowing whether they repented or not.

                          Make your mind up.
O Lord our God, help us to tear their soldiers to bloody shreds with our shells; help us to cover their smiling fields with the pale forms of their patriot dead; help us to drown the thunder of the guns with the shrieks of their wounded, writhing in pain; help us to lay waste their humble homes with a hurricane of fire; help us to wring the hearts of their unoffending widows with unavailing grief; help us to turn them out roofless with little children to wander unfriended the wastes of their desolated land in rags and hunger and thirst, sports of the sun flames of summer and the icy winds of winter, broken in spirit, worn with travail, imploring Thee for the refuge of the grave and denied it--for our sakes who adore Thee, Lord, blast their hopes, blight their lives, protract their bitter pilgrimage, make heavy their steps, water their way with their tears, stain the white snow with the blood of their wounded feet! We ask it, in the spirit of love, of Him Who is the Source of Love, and Who is the ever-faithful refuge and friend of all that are sore beset and seek His aid with humble and contrite hearts. Amen.

God being truth, justice, goodness, beauty, power, and life, man is falsehood, iniquity, evil, ugliness, impotence, and death. God being master, man is the slave. Incapable of finding justice, truth, and eternal life by his own effort, he can attain them only through a divine revelation... he who desires to worship God must harbor no childish illusions about the matter, but bravely renounce his liberty and humanity.
