Goth is a contemporary subculture found in many countries. It began in the United Kingdom during the early 1980s in the gothic rock scene, an offshoot of the post punk genre.

The original goths were an Eastern Germanic tribe who played an important role in the fall of the western Roman Empire. In some circles, the name "goth" later became pejorative: synonymous with "barbarian" and the uncultured due to the then-contemporary view of the fall of Rome and depictions of the Pagan gothic tribes during and after the process of Christianization of Europe.

The reason act is in quotation marks is because you aren't godly and you aren't christians. i am a christian and i was not raised to thrash innocent people the way you people do. Three additional observations from a gentle and loving True Christian™.
1) You do know we are Christians and not Mormons, right? Perhaps you are on the wrong forum?
2) Note the text I bolded? What does that mean? Is that some sort of psycho babble?
3) If you are such a fine Christian 'lady', whay is your name 'LadyDeath'? A name like "LadyLillyWhite' is much more Christian sounding. 'LadyDeath' sounds like you eat little children and boil kittens. You don't, do you?

I registered to this site solely to say this. I am an Atheist who was surfing the net when I was sent this link as a joke. This whole "is your child a goth" is viewed as a joke throughout the world. But I prefer reasonable discussion rather than talking behond someone's back, so, here I am. Please tell me: WHY are you people so intolerant to those who are different than you? And the man who posted the comment "I am on the lookout for goth because they cause shootings", that is like saying "I am on the lookout for jews or blacks because they are evil". Remarks like those are the reson why our world is falling apart. I have no problem with Regligion. Be you Christian, Jewish, Muslim or whatever, you have the right to believe in what you want. But when is comes to people who post hateful comments to others who are different, that is where the line should be drawn.
So, if you want to have a REASONED discussion about what I just said, please, talk to me. Dont try to convert me, please. People have been trying for 17 years, and you wont succeed.

I dont know what is wrong with you, but i agree with her that you people have some serious issues. You should try to understand those who are different, not brand everyone as a "Satanist" just because they dont believe in ehat you do. Im an atheist. I have no religion. Would you be willing to send a sample of your DNA to my lab ? I collect samples to test for certain genetic characteristics. You would, on the surface at least, seem to come from a different line than most here.

This is strictly for research purposes.
