Just one thing - can you be consistent with capitalisation please. Although you correctly capitalised God you missed two instances of Godly. If you err like this again I will have to ask you to ask your husband to spank you very severely. I will insist on photographs to ensure there is redness and to show that you have been properly chastised.

Well said Juliet, you obviously have the attitude of a good Christian woman deep in your heart.Originally posted by juliet View Posti am afraid you cannot really understand the value and meaning of discipline in marriage. Let me be clear. It is not true that our godly husbands beat us for their own pleasure or their arbitrary will. It is a man's duty to discipline his wife, and when he does so, God himself is correcting the wife through her beloved husband's hand.
It is not an abuse, but a consensual act of love. In fact, not only i absolutely agree that my husband spanks me for any and every mistake or sin, but moreover from time to time i myself ask him to do that, if in the deep of my heart i feel that i deserve it. it allows me to release my guilt, to "clean up" my soul, and to be able to deserve again my husband's love.
My husband is not a monster, but the wisest, the fairest, the most honest godly man i've ever known in my life. he disciplines me for my own good, and for our marriage.
And what it is wonderful, is that my beloved husband, after a proper discipline, always forgives me. No matter how stupid my mistake was!!!

sorry for yelling ^ ; but why do you put up with it. it is all good and fine for him to discipline you, but when that disciplining goes so far as to be actual physical harm... then it is not discipline; it is assault....
I feel really sorry for you.
If the lord wants you to submit to your husband in every way, that does not mean letting him beat you. that is not submittance, that is cowardliness.
please go and see a councilor.

If I didn't know better, I might think you were suggesting that Mrs. Whitford ask Pastor Ezekiel to let Mr. Whitford spank him until he cried. Which would imply that Zeke were the kind of man who would lay across another man's lap and allow his bare bottom to be manhandled.
Now, I know you didn't mean that, but some of the Unsaved Trash could misunderstand.
Oh my God, Rev Rodimer, I really expressed myslef so badly!
What i was suggesting to Mrs Witford is that if she is embarassed in approaching this subject with her beloved husband, she might ask her Pastor to explain this delicate situation to her husband, so he ( the husband) can let her know what he would prefer. When I married my beloved husband, our good pastor give him many advice on how to manage many situations including discipline, and he told to my husband he would ever be willing to advice and help him to make his blissful marriage work.

Juliet, do be careful with your syntax.Originally posted by juliet View PostDr mrs Wirthford, when my beloved husband disciplines me, he always wants to see tears of genuine repentance. Than he was so patient to explain it to me.
Maybe you could politely explore this issue with him, or ask your pastor to do it on behalf of you.

Re: Should I avoid crying when my husband disciplines me?
If my wife cries, I let her have it with a firm backhand. She is only allowed to make a sound when answering a question. There is enough noise in the world without her yammering adding to it.

Well my father only beat me perhap 10 times when I was a little girl. Sometime I was cry, but in the end no really. I was want show I was estrong so I contain the crys.
Then my ex-fiancé try one time to hit me because he wanted me do something that was no appropriate cos he say me it was ok cos we were gonna get marry and he could no resist tentation of see me in my small summer top cos was July and we was all esweaty andjust back from the beach and sitting on kitchen table but what he was suggest was totally no apropriate cos we were no marry yet but i catch his hand and twist his fingers and then I breaked a plate in his head and HE was the one that cry, quite a lots, and even in the hospital when they were sewing his head cut and he never try to hit me again after that.

Re: Should I avoid crying when my husband disciplines me?
Well, I don't have a husband yet, but whenever my father beats me I cry, loud. It's a sign to show him how sorry I am for not obeying him, and that he is doing his job right! (I am so happy that he loves me so much that he wants to dicipline me.)
But when he is done beating me and wants to read the Bible or something else, I must be silent in my cries, so that I don't disturb him.
Yours in Christ
Elisabeth

Your husband might prefer you cry..
In my case.. When my wife has wandered off the path I set for her, I much rather her cry while being punished.. If she refuses to cry, the punishment will be significantly more sever.. Just my opinion, sister.
