Re: Should I avoid crying when my husband disciplines me?
It's kinda to be expected that women cry, given their inherent weakness of character.

Re: Should I avoid crying when my husband disciplines me?
That refers to within the body of believers not within marital relations. Paul changes the subject directly after this. Look at it in context.Originally posted by Sister Soldier View PostGod would never want to beat me that is why He sent Jesus to set things straight because man was using His Word for his own interpetation, and if you are going to quoate the word do it right, just before that Eph 5:21 it says "Submt to one another in the fear of God".
6Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.
7Be not ye therefore partakers with them.
8For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:
9(For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth)
10Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.
11And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.
12For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret.
13But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light.
14Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.
15See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,
16Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
17Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.
18And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;
19Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;
20Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;
21Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.
Now Paul changes subjects.
22Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
23For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
24Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.
25Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
Love your wives. Love is not the romantic Hallmark card type of love with fat baby angels. It is a love like God has for His creations. If you read the rest of the Bible, you will know that love is tough.

A woman should respect her husband as much as she respects God. God says so above. If God wanted to beat you, wouldn't you submit to Him?

When you just Quoate half the rule you disrespect God because you are using his Word for your own selfishness. The man and the woman are to respect each other. So I guess after you hit and abuse your wife you go in the other room and beat and abuse yourself since you are one in God and Christ.

Re: Should I avoid crying when my husband disciplines me?
I noticed that the ame quoate keeps comming up Eph. 5:22 let take it a verse back Eph 5:21-26 KJV
21Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.
22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so [let] the wives [be] to their own husbands in every thing.
25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
And in verse 26 it says to sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word. Not by the beating of your wife.
Christ gave hmself for the church and you say Christ beat up and burned down the church, if the husband is suppose to beat the wife and she is representing the church. Thisis so wiered. Jesus never said anthing about abusing women I am sorr this is wrong. The man is to love honor and cherish his wife and keep her safe and be her protector. Would Jesus really beat a woman today if he was here on earth in a physical presence. I feel sorry for those who use the Word out of context t feed their own egos and purposes and justify their weaknesses. God forgive them for they know not what they do.

To the op, I would say
Psalms 126:5
They that sow in tears shall reap joy.
2 Timothy 1:4
Greatly desiring to see thee, being mindful of thy tears, that I might be filled with joy;
Psalms 42:3
My tears have been my meat day and night....
I could go on, but am posting from my phone. I believe tears to be scripturally appropriate.

Embrace the pain.
Do not weep because of the pain, that is not the reason.
God gives us all strength. Whether it is intended or not, the pain caused is meant to be embraced for the Lord has given you strength to overcome all!

Ephesians 5:22 (King James Version) 22Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.Originally posted by Sister Soldier View PostI have one question does he cry when you discipline or beat him? Hmmm? No Man, not a real man would ever hit a woman it is cowardly. Not even Jesus believed in hitting women. When the men of the town tried to stone a woman Jesus said "He who is without sin cast the first stone" and no stones were cast. I read in the Bible those who spare the rod hate their children (Prov. 13:24) even then the Bible says Fathers do not aggravate your children or, they will become discouraged (Col 3:21)
but I never read spare the rod spoil the wife or hate the wife. It is written that a man should love his wife as Christ loved the Church (His Fathers House) and when Jesus saw those that would dare dishonor His Father House he kicked the money changers, vipers and heathens out. Yes God said that we should submit to our husbands as it is fitting for those who belong to the Lord (Col. 3:18). and that is all you hear is mans inturpetation. That is to use, abuse and control and/or enslave all others and put even us (women) beneath him. Then in the next verse (Col. 3:19) it says Husbands, love your wives and never treat them harshly. It is even written "Masters be just and fair to your slaves. Remember that you also have a Master in heaven" (Col 4:1). Do you think you should be treated lower than a slave? I don't think so. Don't you realize your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God?You do not belong to yourself. For God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body. (I Cor 6:19-20) So if a man beats on you is he honoring God? If a Man thinks that beating a woman or as Brother T. says giving her an extra backhander, is He honoring God by disrespecting your body? The only men I know that do that are not only low dow but most are on the down low, or that was the example their daddys set for them beating their mothers. In wich case makes them cowards born of cowards.

The only thing you've ever beaten was a dead horse.Originally posted by Homertard View PostDude, tonnes of my posts have been edited, along with my name (twice now) It's a sign that your beating them, as they can't fight so they edit.
Besides, it's impossible to beat God. But you are so far from making any sense half the time it's like you're not even trying. What, are you going to try to use that as your excuse come Judgement Day?
