Sure. Stop sinning and give yourself to Jesus, and you get a do-over.

Which things, and how do you tell the difference? Upon what basis, other than what you think is right?Originally posted by It'sMe View PostI believe that some things in the Old Testament still stand strong. But some things had changed when Jesus was born.
No. Those who choose to continue in a sinful deathstyle are obviously not saved, and telling them that they are is lying to them.Originally posted by It'sMe View PostHmm, I'm confused. Didn't you mention that sinners cannot be saved and that helping them would be giving them false hope?
Anyone can stop sinning at any time.
Of course not. But all non-Christians will spend eternity being burned alive in God's Lake of Fire.Originally posted by It'sMe View PostThen answer me these questions.
Do you truly believe that people with a different color skin are beneath you?
Of what?Do you believe woman are unworthy?
Because the Bible says so. Who am I to question God?Why can't handicapped people attend church?
Not necessarily.If I wear a braid, am I a harlot?
No. But if she lied about her virginity and he can prove it, then it's OK for the entire village to stone her to death, because the Bible says so.Do you truly believe it's alright for a man to murder his wife if he hates her, even if she wasn't a virgin when they married?
Um . . . yes, I think . . . I'm not sure what the question is.Do you truly believe that you can impossibly ever sin?
Of course. God directs us to judge and rebuke others, that they may find the way to Him.And that you have the right to judge other people?
We've never manipulated Scripture.Originally posted by It'sMe View PostIf you truly believe the way to Heaven is by vigilantly obeying the Bible, sometimes even manipulating the Script to suit your argument, then you leave no room for modern development. May I remind you the Bible was written by man, and not God himself.
However, given that God is all-knowing and all-powerful, don't you agree that He knows exactly what the Bible says, and is able to change it at will?
Therefore, it must surely say exactly what He wants it to say.
You will note the lack of an expiration date in the Bible.
Um, no. Chapter and verse, please.I remember reading somewhere in the Old Testament that it was considered a sin for a woman to walk in public while she was pregnant.
How is this the way of God? I just read one of the accounts where the guy said and I quote: "On the look out for wife #6" wow? And here I thought the Bible said that divorcing from your wife/husband is a sin.[/quote]

It's a hollow victory. Should you choose to accept Christ Jesus as your LORD and Master, I shall dance a victory dance to celebrate with the angels over your Salvation. I will even record it and put it on youtube so you can dance with me whenever you'd like! THAT would be a True Victory!Originally posted by It'sMe View PostWow. I haven't broke the rules yet? Congratulations to me indeed.

You're quite mistaken, dear. We don't manipulate the Holy Bible in any way. If you've noticed, this forum has a script which automatically links any Bible verse to a website that has the entire Holy Bible written out. This is for your own good - to see the Word in its entirety, in context, in all its Glory. If anyone tried to manipulate it, that would be easily and quickly discovered. Of course, no True Christian™ would care to manipulate the Holy Bible in any way. It is Perfect as it is God's Own Specifically Chose Word.Originally posted by It'sMe View PostI will leave, but I want to leave you people with one last thought.

Take it up with God. You are trying to apply secular values that have nothing to do with Christianity to God. He is way out of your league.Originally posted by It'sMe View PostYou basically just gave me evidence that you all indeed are racists, sexists and that you discriminate against people who are handicapped.
As I keep saying, read the Bible. See what God actually is. This is not a cop out. To fully answer your barrage of questions we would need to copy/paste the entire Bible.
We're not afraid you'll find anything in there we can't handle. But I bet you are.

+1Originally posted by Zechariah Smyth View PostSKIP NOTHING.
Come back here when you're done
You know Mr Smyth these wretches - and I use the word quite happy to agree that I was a wretch myself, like Paul fighting the pricks - are forever burbling how we take God's Word out of "context" (whether grammatical context or socio-historical context I don't know: they never seem very precise) and I'm quite content to wait for well thought out questions. Obviously I won't be proffering any opinions, but am always happy to post appropriate Scripture and it speaks for itself so clearly.
The Lord spoke through the prophets and The Law, through Psalms and Proverbs and the Gospels in a very direct manner. Mary Magdalene for example did not require a Masters degree in ancient mesopotamian sociology to receive His Love and neither do we.
But because the doubters are such wretches
I'll stick with the more time consuming method of posting KJV references in this thread if we're going to get a spate of bizarre logic, like this:
ACTS 26
14 b,c ..I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.
15 And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And he said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest.
16 a But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose..
KJV . . . LOOK UP . . CONTEXT
so if the anti-Bible brigade could do the same for us, providing their "argument" (they only ever seem to have the one!) in context, that'd be great.
I haven't added up my score yet, having a little difficulty understanding one of the questions but I think I'm close now..

I will reiterate that I do understand the wretchedness of these posters and the vague, ill informed notions they bring to the forum because I used to try forming "opinions" and "ideas" of my own - fool that I was. But when God calls us we respond. So I appreciate how we get spat upon and understand why, in their rage, the heathens and the false "Christians" attack us. It is satanic.
ROMANS 8
35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

But, you and I both know a secret: you have not seen a single instance of us misquoting or giving a private interpretation of Scripture.

Sure, you've seen some things that made you pause, but if you actually took the time to read the verses posted, and more importantly read them in context (i.e., read the complete chapter, or book), you know we are right.
It hurts to know you've been lied to about God and Jesus and the Bible your whole life...trust me, I know. I went through the exact same process you are only now starting.
Do me a favor: even if you decide to leave, get a KJV Bible and start at Genesis 1:1 and end at Revelation 22:21, take lots of notes, reread the parts that are difficult to understand.
SKIP NOTHING.
Come back here when you're done (should only take a few weeks, even at a leisurely pace).
I'm praying for you!
