  • Satan Not So Tough

Dear friends, I was reading and responding to another post and was so very moved by the Holy Spirit to lay out some needed information on Satan that I felt my fingers fly across the keyboard. What I wrote was so very profound and on the nose that someone -- who could that be . . . let me guess, was it --SATAN!? arranged for my computer to lose that post.

Being girded in my girl-loins by God, I will not be deterred. Here are some points to consider.

Satan is not God and cannot be everywhere at the same time. Omnipresence is a quality of the Divine, not the damned. Much of what we attribute directly to Satan is actually the work of the many sub-satans in his employ.

People who insist that Satan is out to tempt or trouble them personally are suffering from delusions of grandeur. Satan, though pure evil, is not stupid. He knows how to allocate his resources. His personal presence is only required in matters of extreme importance, such as the committee meetings leading up to the 9/11 attacks. He may not even engage in one or one tempting, but rather focuses on mentoring. He probably sees Obama at least three times a week.

Satan is not God and cannot know the future. Omniscience is limited to God. When it comes to acts of God, such as the weather, Satan has no more clue than you or I of what to expect tomorrow. Certain human-facilitated actions-- referring back to 9/11-- he may know about ahead of time, but he cannot foresee any specific history with one glaring exception.

Satan knows that Jesus is real (they spoke, remember?) and that He will be back. Stan knows this stuff because it is written in the Bible. Beyond that, he is no more forewarned than the next guy.

Satan knows he will lose the war. For some reason, he seems content with winning a few battles here and there, leading souls astray, helping Democrats get elected. What he should know, but seems content to ignore, is that God is letting him win when he does. I mean, come on -- God, lose? At anything? Satan is in denial.

Satan is not a telepath and cannot see into your thoughts. That would fall within the capabilities of of omniscience (knowing everything) and omnipotence (being able to do any and everything).

Satan is not only NOT omnipotent but actually has no power at all. We humans elect to give him power by entertaining him in our thoughts. Sort of like inviting vampires into your home.

Satan's biggest gig was in showing up in the Garden of Eden (apparently, he can shape-shift) and tricking Eve. And he only knew to use that trick because he was listening in on God's conversation with Adam.

Now, whether Satan can keep going 24/7 is not made clear in the Bible. He may not need to rest, though God apparently did. So, if he doesn't need to sleep or eat, he probably does have plenty of time to attend to lots of details. But remember, there are over six billion of us, and the Bible gives no indication regarding staffing levels of heaven or hell. If there is no demon working on every specific person on earth every minute of the day, then that means most folk are on their own at least some of the time.

That time can be spent thinking about the Truth. So stop blaming Satan for your screw-ups and fearing his so-called big, spooky power. God is right there before you, to take into your heart and make your own.

Really, people,--a supernatural, super-powered evil individual with a realm of his own to look after whose whole raison d'etre is to get you to do stuff to upset God? Where would he find the time? Take some responsibility.
His left hand should be under my head, and his right hand should embrace me.

I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.

But thou art cast out of thy grave like an abominable branch, and as the raiment of those that are slain, thrust through with a sword, that go down to the stones of the pit; as a carcase trodden under feet.
Christians are superior because we possess an understanding that unbelievers lack. It is through the Power of Jesus only the converted mind is able to understand what is going on in the world; what the Communists are really up to; what Satan's intentions are. Most unbelievers do not even believe in Satan and cannot understand his tactics.

      AMEN Sister!

Unfortunately there seems to be enough people out there willing to do his work for him that he doesn't need to be omnipotent. Even though we need not fear him, we must be ever diligent of not slipping in our ways and taking the easy route because the world would like us better if we did.
PROOF: Atheists are too stupid to understand the Bible!

Proverbs 13:24(KJV): "He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes."

Galatians 4:16 Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?

Thinking about Satan's relative weakness always helps me through hard times, like watching Christianity being persecuted.

For practice, I suggest think about the weakness of satan while watching the persecution of Christians in this video:

Disagree? By failing to register and debate me, you prove that liberals are factless frauds who only persuade through intimidation. To prove otherwise, debate me!

Amen! This thread is accurate, also from reading a summary of Rosemary's baby, I wouldn't put it too far past Satan to possess somebody and breed new demons.

            Amen sister.

Seriously, only the power to tempt and coerce the spirit? That's no more power than a candy bar has over a fat kid. It's always bothered my when people go around and champion satan, as some sort of powerful tyrant; when, even in scripture, GOD's kill count flatly /trumps/ satan's - just like the True Americans, who are representative of God's glory on Earth.
