Re: About reading ungodly books.
I'm sure you guys will like how I was exposed to Christianity. I would say I was about .. 4 years old, when I can recall first going to Church ( that I could remember, it was a long time ago, I'm sure I went as a baby) And guess what, it was a Baptist ( praise ) church. Of course I detested sitting there idly for an hour and a half, being a child and all. And I didn't fully appreciate what I was learning until probably 15, which was when I believe I could fully comprehend what I was being taught.
Back at that age, I didn't really know the difference between Baptist, Catholic, Lutheran, or Methodist Churches. I had simply viewed Church as a ways of learning the teachings of our Lord and praising Him.
It was after being put in St. John Lutheran School in the 6th grade that I began to at least know what Catholicism was and Baptism. But, I just went on ahead being Lutheran because that's what my family was, and I didn't see any problems with Martin Luther wanting to split from the English Church and start the Protestant Reformation. As it is now, I may leave Lutheranism and join Catholicism.. ( just kidding
) But I may leave Lutheranism, though; as I went out today to Border's bookstore and bought a King James edition Bible. ( I couldn't find any that had 1611 on them, but Acts 8:37 is in this one, I checked at the store, hopefully it isn't a revised edition of the KJV). I'll start reading it before I go to bed, no, I'm not kidding.
