    Are you confused?
God dictated it to King James, yes.
He did not dictate anything to Joseph Smith, he (Smith) simply lied.
Knowing the KJV1611 was given by God, he wanted to match that.

    Nothing hard to understand there.

To avoid that some homer like you will try to rewrite the holy Bible.

People try all the time to change things in the Bible, yet we will always stick to the true version, the one God dictated:
      The KJV1611.
God did not dictate the KJV1611! Do you honestly think that God would waist his time dictating the bible to you fools?

He if you actually did your research you would know that Moses wrote a huge chunk of the old testimate, and Paul wrote a huge chuck of the New testimate. There were others of course but there is no scripture or historical documentation that says that God sat down at his big Heavenly Table and wrote the KJV1611. He also didnt waste his time talking to the scribes of King James either.

Is that how they market the KJV1611: "Dictated By God Himself" that is a brilliant marketing scheme to rip you off!

So King James has spoken with God? Well I find it a little hard to belive God would really just decide in 1611 to tell King James what the bible aught to be. And no I am not a woman, but I'm willing to bet that you are because you brought up gender. I'm also going to assume that you are an ugly woman who has no self esteem and gives herself gratification by trying to appear intelligent whe it is obvious that your IQ is -3.

Thank you Brother Phil, it seems as if God hasn't given up, there are still some people with intelligence left in the world.

So God Actually Dictated the Bible to King James Himself!!! King James did nothing for the King James Version of the Bible than to remove the death penalty for translating it. He barely even contributed money to the translation. But in his Honor... or by his decree it was named after him.

Where do you find a reference to God Dictating to King James?

The King James Bible has the influence of at least three Bible altering Conventions. It is far from pure. The only pure Bible is all of the collected works that used to make up the Bible. They are looked away in the Libraries of the Vatican.

Re: Am I Going To Burn In Hell?

Read this, idiots. Do you really think that God is too incompetent to make sure that people write what He wants them to write in His book? Do you think God is a klutz?
O Lord our God, help us to tear their soldiers to bloody shreds with our shells; help us to cover their smiling fields with the pale forms of their patriot dead; help us to drown the thunder of the guns with the shrieks of their wounded, writhing in pain; help us to lay waste their humble homes with a hurricane of fire; help us to wring the hearts of their unoffending widows with unavailing grief; help us to turn them out roofless with little children to wander unfriended the wastes of their desolated land in rags and hunger and thirst, sports of the sun flames of summer and the icy winds of winter, broken in spirit, worn with travail, imploring Thee for the refuge of the grave and denied it--for our sakes who adore Thee, Lord, blast their hopes, blight their lives, protract their bitter pilgrimage, make heavy their steps, water their way with their tears, stain the white snow with the blood of their wounded feet! We ask it, in the spirit of love, of Him Who is the Source of Love, and Who is the ever-faithful refuge and friend of all that are sore beset and seek His aid with humble and contrite hearts. Amen.

God being truth, justice, goodness, beauty, power, and life, man is falsehood, iniquity, evil, ugliness, impotence, and death. God being master, man is the slave. Incapable of finding justice, truth, and eternal life by his own effort, he can attain them only through a divine revelation... he who desires to worship God must harbor no childish illusions about the matter, but bravely renounce his liberty and humanity.

Wait a minute pastor, isn't it Sunday? Why aren't you in church? I'm pretty sure that if you went to a real church that taught fundamental Christian values you wouldn't be such a pig-headed fool. By the way, since you're missing church, does that mean you will burn in hell?

Because I live in a different time zone, and so services have already finished today. Would you care to explain your definition of fundamental Christian values, or would you prefer to carry on bothering me with ignorant and questions?

Well Brother, let's start with the Ten Commandments. I don't see anything in the commandments that says the KJV1611 is "the" only worthy version of the Bible to be read. I also don't see anything telling people to judge who gets to go to hell and who doesn't. So in effect, this whole "Am I going to burn in Hell," thread is blasphemous. If you need a reference for the Ten commandments that would be Exodus 20. I assmue you have a bible and can read them for yourself.

I do indeed. I also follow the entire Bible, not just 17 verses.
Psalm 37:30 The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgment.

That doesn't sound very non-judgemental to me.

Yet again you cannot provide good enough evidence. Where is the KJV in all of this? And even thought the bible warns against changing it, it has still happened! King James is a TRANSLATION therefore it is almost the exact same as the NIV or the ESV or the NKJV they are all translations of the bible. There is no reason that the King James Version is any better than any other version of the Bible. If you want a completely unaltered you need to break into the Vatican!

And to answer your last question... if the Bible was "good enough for God" in 382 B.C. when the Council of Rome assembled the books of the Bible, Why change in 1611? If you want to read what the books really said, learn Greek, Hebrew, Aramaic and other Jewish Languages. That way you can translate for your self

Well listen Mr. lezbean; You are clearly possessed by satan and in deep need of exorcism. No one in their right mind would come into a Christian forum spewing the hatred that you have. We are telling you what IS GOING TO happen to you because of your depraved lifestyle. We are attempting to show you God's Divine Plan, but you want to force your views on us, crazy as they are.

If you reject God, then you are going to spend eternity in the lake of fire being tortured by satan. If you accept Him, then you at least have a chance of avoiding that. Although since you are just a female, maybe not....
You people are ones to talk about making crap up that fits you... Creationism is the biggest load of bullshit ever created.
