Genesis 34:12 Ask me never so much dowry and gift, and I will give according as ye shall say unto me: but give me the damsel to wife.

Exodus 21:7 And if a man sell his daughter to be a maidservant, she shall not go out as the menservants do.

Exodus 22:17 If her father utterly refuse to give her unto him, he shall pay money according to the dowry of virgins.

If a daughter has been raped, of course the price is fixed @ $476.24 (spot silver at time of posting)
        Deuteronomy 22:28-29

Pastor Jones, as Associate Pastor of Theology, does not bring up daughters to be prostitutes therefore his daughter has not been raped and the price is not fixed.

Yeah, and somewhere in the bible, it says that Jesus had nothing special about him. He looked like a normal person. Do normal people have flaming eyes?

Somewhere in the Bible? Please find scripture to back that up.

I have to ask why it is that these athiest's have tried to derail the topic of how much your daughter is worth. If it was ungodly to sell your daughter Zeke would not have posted this in the first place because the thought would not have entered his mind. Just another instance of Athiest's trying to get away from a Godly conquest.

Have heard someone say, "her eyes twinkled like stars".
Does it mean she has stars for eyes? Of course not. Think about what you post next time.

Excuse me if it is so wrong why do people buy children legally under the farse of adoption? If I'm not mistaken most adoptions cost about twenty to thirty thousand dollars to ship some godless bastard child from Africa or China. Not even a good Christian kid, so by this standard not only is this girl a better made person, she is at a realistic price, considering that one would have to do atleast 2 to 3 time's the physical correcting, English teaching, house training
( only if african child due to them being used to using the street's as bathrooms) feeding,(due to them being gluttonous snob's) and anything else!
That seems like a burden that will never end if you ask me!

Get with the program. In the Bible, children are property. Wives are property, too.

The Bible is very clear in affixing values to all sorts of things. The only thing not assigned a precise economic value is a person's soul.

And don't go calling names and accusing us of being hateful and hard-hearted. People get tax deductions for their children. They sue doctors and schools and individuals for large sums of money if their kids are killed.

Others pay money to adopt (mentioned in another post) and still others pay even larger sums of money to conceive their own biological progeny.

Sperm "donors" get paid. Gestational surrogates get paid, (less, btw, when the numbers are crunched).

People talk all the time about the value of "love" and other (supposed) intangibles. But when push comes to shove, everything in this earth and on this earth can be reduced to its monetary worth.

Prostitutes get paid for one service, and soldiers get paid for another. And day-care workers--the ones we trust with our darling young children-- get paid worse than either of these job categories.

Seriously dude, you couldn't get anyone to kill your enemies or fork your friends for a day-care employee's salary.

I would bid, but I don't think I am a true enough Christian yet.

Also, would you consider trading her in foreskins?

"Wherefore David arose and went, he and his men, and slew of the Philistines two hundred men; and David brought their foreskins, and they gave them in full tale to the king, that he might be the king's son in law. And Saul gave him Michal his daughter to wife." Samuel 18:27

If you have any particular enemy you would like me to smite, I will get you 50 - since she is not a princess.

I don't believe so. Young people can get married with parental consent. A dowry is fine as long as it is reported to the tax authority.

Dowry is also biblically sanctioned as per Genesis 34:12

12Ask me never so much dowry and gift, and I will give according as ye shall say unto me: but give me the damsel to wife.

The Bible also says a man has the right to sell his daughter as a maidservant.

                          Exodus 21:7-11
7And if a man sell his daughter to be a maidservant, she shall not go out as the menservants do.
8If she please not her master, who hath betrothed her to himself, then shall he let her be redeemed: to sell her unto a strange nation he shall have no power, seeing he hath dealt deceitfully with her.
9And if he have betrothed her unto his son, he shall deal with her after the manner of daughters.
10If he take him another wife; her food, her raiment, and her duty of marriage, shall he not diminish.
11And if he do not these three unto her, then shall she go out free without money.
Christians are superior because we possess an understanding that unbelievers lack. It is through the Power of Jesus only the converted mind is able to understand what is going on in the world; what the Communists are really up to; what Satan's intentions are. Most unbelievers do not even believe in Satan and cannot understand his tactics.

You must love and take care of your daughter as you are her benefactor and you must love and respect her, if you don't do this you will build up bad Karma and do yourself great harm on your souls journey into the rainbow river on the Bardo
