We may be a little late with this one, but let us do our best to do something about this monstrosity called Pokemon. Allow me to point out several factors that make this anti-Christian:

• Makes children obsessed with "collecting them all" and keeps their attention away from the Bible and homeschool classes
• Creates confusing gender identity issues
• Creates the illusion of "power" based on collective cards instead of through prayer and surrender to God
• Generates aggressive reactions when father throws all cards in the trash
• Encourages retardation: studies show that after a child starts with Pokemon, its IQ drops by 3 to 5 points within a month
• It's a stepping stone to other role-playing games with even more Satanic themes

Please, Brothers and Sisters, let us pray that this evil game gets banned and ALL Pokemon cards ever collected will be BURNED!

I once took a basic IQ test once, then after a few days playing pokèmon and other such games, I took a more advanced one, guess what, I scored 4 points higher.

Ah the memories of Pokèmon, the rules me and my friends would make up to play the card game, throwing rocks to simulate capturing the beasts, creating our own Pokèmon (I still remember Ultios, the most overpowered of all the others), and spending Saturday morning watching the anime. Good times, good times.

dear christian brothers & sisters..
i`m 18 now..
since i was 7 i have been playing all the pokemon games out there..heck im still playing it up till this day ....and im still a christian ...
would you rather your kids spend their time playing other games like skyrim or mw3 or diabolo 3 ? ? those games are worse than that of pokemon ...i know coz i have been gaming a lot

it may even be a gift of god to our kids ...you never know..just because something is evil in your eyes doesent mean that it was satan`s doing ...it may even be gods gift to the kids ....

my advice would be ...let your kids play the pokemon games .....its better than having them go out with friends and play these very pokemon games...if they are playing it at home you can keep an eye on them and set time limits as to how long they can play ...and you could put a stop to the game if you think its very strongly affecting your childs behevior ...

I would like to put my two cents into this.

I knew many people who LOVED and STILL DO love pokemon. Since it first came out many if not ALL my friends love it. they have grown up since. some become teachers for art and Language. others to become doctors and even lawyers. Your saying pokemon is evil, yet why is it evil? have you ever played it? ever watched it? is it because you your self do not understand it and curse it's name for being different? My friend loves pokemon and she was excepted into a school for only the TOP most intelligent people. her IQ is in the 90% highest of the USA after she took several IQ tests and is studding to become an animal rehabilitation expert. never have I seen anyone who liked pokemon become anger BECAUSE of pokemon.

every child born into this world has the same chance as any other to grow up being a murder or a saint. it all depends on how god made you at birth. if gods plan was to make you into someone who would find pokemon interesting because it's different and unique then thats what he wanted. if he made you to grow into a murder, well thats part of the greater plan. if you truly believe pokemon is evil then fine. thats how god made you. but don't try and take down something because it frightens you. don't FORCE your children to turn away from it because YOU were born to dislike it. you can only ask your kids to change their minds. but if they don't its all part of gods plan for them.

if god planned for it. why would it send them to hell? This world can be seen as a horrible please... let your kids have fun while they are in it. They can love god, and I'm sure they always will. but you must let them grow and learn. they will be forgiven for they are only living as imperfect humans as we all are.

no. but with that same argument in mind. your taking your kids and anyone who enjoys pokemon. and force them to hate it. is THAT not a form of slavery? to an intelligent being?

your kids are kids of god. intelligent in their own ways. is it right that you force them to hate the same things you may dislike? it is ok to explain your reasons. but it is not ok to force upon others.

nope. forcing upon others is a form of slavery. if anything slavery and laws are a very scary circle that will most likely never be broken. but why, as a respectable person wish to force your kids to think the same way as you do? Jesus did not force anyone to believe him. He only spoke, and explained who he was and what he could do. never did he force others to believe him. and if someone didn't believe him, they would be forgiven. If your kids still respect you as a father and mother. why should you wish to force them to change their minds and way of thinking? If do it without forcing them. they may even agree with you. they may not. but they will do as they please for it is their free will and the life god gave them to be able to roam the earth and do what they will.

and again. laws are a very mean circle of allowing freedom to live without being truly free in which case should get its own forum post.

Nothing good can come from this game of the Devil. Saving a child's soul from corruption and eternal damnation in hellfire is simply doing what is best for them and they will thank us when we sit together in Jesus' lap in Heaven.

whats so filthy about them? jealousy? when did pokemon ever condone such things? They even dropped their gotta catch them all logo did they not? and as for trading cards. why is pokemon your only issue? do kids not try and collect every base ball card? why do you strike at pokemon when there are other things more concerning. And I must say. I never seen or even heard of any child prostituting themselves for a 5cent pokemon card?

and if pocket monsters is in gods world of which he created why not learn about it? why not learn about all that is on this world? It's not a sin to enjoy trading cards. If kids sin while playing with cards. what makes you think they wouldn't sin without them? no matter where you go Sins will happen. it's not pokemons fault humans are imperfect beings. it's your own faults.

nope. in fact I love pokemon. however. I don't like slavery. funny how that works. however. if you ever took the time to watch or play it you would see. that. in the show/games the main character has a strong bond with their pokemon. and has even almost died to save them. they fight because they want to. not because they are forced. and even showed the "bad guys" who FORCED pokemon into fighting had to be taken down by the "good guys" who dont force them. sorry to say. I don't agree with people who hate pokemon for something it didn't do wrong. hating pokemon cause it's stupid or silly is one thing. but to hate it for something it would have no control over is in itself silly.

and not to mention its only a game. now if kids go out and make dogs fight. yeah. that's not good. but its only a simple game. it isnt real. and I promise a pokemon will not jump out and start attacking you
