  • I'm very confused.

I sent the following message to Pastor Ezekiel but I feel that everyone should know about my situation.

I'm very confused. I've listened to many of the local pastors for so long. Lots of them say that the Bible shouldn't be taken "literally" and that some parts were meant for the people back then (like Leviticus). I know you're probably getting tired of me testing you, and I know I'm a little bit trying at times but please bear with me. I just need someone to help me sort this out. I've used logic and education for so long, it's hard not to. Not to mention that everyday, I get liberal propaganda drilled into my skull at school. Is there any chance that you could arrange for me to come to Freehold (provided I get saved of course)?
I know that I've asked you all for more prayer than any one person deserves and I'm sorry for taking time out of your Godly lives to waste on a confused young man like myself, but please give any insight and Godly advise you have. Comments from those not officially recognized as True Christians™ are not welcome. They will not help. Again, I am truly sorry for taking your time. Please forgive me.

Very confused but asking for help

    -Andrew Barrick

P.S. - Pastor Ezekiel, I am seventeen years old. Frankly, I'm surprised God let me live this long.

        Andrew,

Any pastor who tells you that the bible isn't to be taken literally is either a homer in disguise, a cherry-picker Christian, a charlatan, or a combination of all three.

Jesus told the people flat out that he didn't come to destroy the laws of Leviticus, but to fulfill them. That not one jot would pass from the law. In other words, each and every law from the Old Testament is still in effect. Those charlatans are leading you straight down the path to hell. It is, after all, paved with good intentions.
"If thou buy an Hebrew servant, six years he shall serve: and in the seventh he shall go out free for nothing. . . . And if a man sell his daughter to be a maidservant, she shall not go out as the manservant's do."
        (Leviticus 21:6-7)

Andrew, here are some (just a few) tips to get you started toward a better idea on what it's all about to be a True Christian™.

          1) We live isolated from sinners

Leviticus 10:10 And that ye may put difference between holy and unholy, and between unclean and clean

          2) We consider oursiders evil

John 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

          3) We are commissioned to judge others

1st Corinthians 5:13 But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.

          4) Science is bad

1 Timothy 6:20 O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called:

1 Timothy 6:21 Which some professing have erred concerning the faith. Grace be with thee. Amen.

          5) We must follow secular laws

1st Peter 2:13 Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme

          Here you wrote ...

I'm very confused. I've listened to many of the local pastors for so long. Lots of them say that the Bible shouldn't be taken "literally" and that some parts were meant for the people back then (like Leviticus)
          6) The law from the Old Testament is still in force

Matthew 5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

Matthew 5:19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

          7) Follow the Entire Bible

Deuteronomy 4:2 Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.

          Hope this helps! Sister Noddy
          1st Timothy 2: 9 In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;
1st Timothy 2: 10 But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works ...

1 Timothy 5: 16 If any man or woman that believeth have widows, let them relieve them, and let not the church be charged; that it may relieve them that are widows indeed ...

Proverbs 31: 26 She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness ...
Proverbs 31: 27 She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness ...

Andrew, not to be rude, hun, but why are you still confused? I can't help but wonder that the good pastors have answered your questions many a time, what is there to be confused about more?

My guess is that he spends too much of his free time committing the sin of Onan, rather than studying the Holy KJV Bible.

Satan will confuse young men that way.

I am currently recovering from this sin. I have started a personal Bible study program and am progressing nicely. Sorry to have disturbed you. I see now that I was being decieved by some local so-called "Christians" but now I see that, without a doubt, there is no other representative on earth aside from Landover. I am repented and prayed through so you should have no other problems from me.

Praise Jesus and well done, brother Andy! I know how hard it is. To stop sinning in that particular way. Brother BJ and I have a regular weekly meeting to try and get a good, firm, Godly grip on the issue. It's called a cookie circle, for reasons I can't discuss. In any event, our prayers are with you in your struggle.

THIS website might help you. Or THIS one.

This device has helped plenty of strapping young Christian men beat off the devil's throbbing temptation. They're available at the Landover Baptist Gift Shoppe for only $149.99, last I checked.

It must suck to be a guy. You would have to be on your knees, in a firm hard prayer repenting like 24/7 in a 24 hour day.

I'm glad my sins are not that bad.

If the Lord leads you to it, he will get you through it.

Is it my imagination, or have y'all said this before, and then said you're confused again?
Honey, our serving boy who ain't right in the head is less confused than you are. What's so hard to understand, sugar? Just stop touching your (forgive me Jesus)man-thing, and you'll be fine!
